Ok I'm gona post the top 20 names that come to mind, in no particular order:

    1. Chavez Sr
    2. Hopkins
    3. Pacquiao
    4. Whitaker
    5. Jones Jr
    6. Lewis
    7. Holyfield
    8. Barrera
    9. Morales
    10. Mayweather
    11. Tyson
    12. Oscar
    13. Tito
    14. Toney
    15. Mosley
    16. Calzaghe
    17. Froch
    18. Eubank
    19. Wlad
    20. Spinks

Missed out a few names and if I was actually listing them in order than Wlad, Froch and Mosley probably wouldn't make the top 20. They are however, all important names over the last 30 years or so.
It's a tough one, I'd probably rank SRL in top 10 cos his wins over Hagler and Duran are still better than what most guys have done. In fact, those two wins, even though Duran was faded, are greater than the whole of Barrera's career, not taking into account SRL managed to beat the much bigger Lalonde (admittedly catch weight) and the draw against a still game and hard hitting Hearns. All of these wins came at a time when Leonard was years past his best himself.

Hagler would probably be up there too, Duran would probably sneak into a top 30.

Hopkins, JOnes, Chavez, Pacquiao and Lewis/Holy/Whitaker would probably round off a top 5 imo.

Hopkins, Pacman, Chavez need to be higher. No way in hell should SPinks be above Oscar or Tito.

        Froch and Johnson above Calzaghe???

        Lewis below Toney? Really? LOL

        MAB and Morales below McCullum?

I know lists are often subjective and there is variation between people but this just looks horrible.

I'll give it a go so I'm not just talking out my arse and am actually making an effort:

        1. Chavez Sr.
        2. Hopkins
        3. Pacquiao
        4. Whitaker
        5. Lewis
        6. Holyfield
        7. Oscar DLH
        8. Mayweather
        9. Barrera
        10. Trinidad
        11. Tyson
        12. Jones Jr.
        13. Morales
        14. Toney
        15. Leonard
        16. Hagler
        17. Calzaghe
        18. Eubank
        19. Hill
        20. McCallum
        21. Spinks
        22. Wlad
        23. Mosley
        24. Froch
        25. Naz

It's pretty hazy post Eubank, for me, Hill/Mcc/Spinks/Wlad could all change places as good Mosley and Froch.

Camacho and Naz could swap around too, with HC sneaking into the top 25.

The top is pretty much a lock for me, although I can see people having a different order but those are the names that define the last 30 years of boxing.

Should be a crime to rank Spinks that low.

Here's a top 25 since 1984, only taking into account accomplishments since 1984, which puts some guys lower than guys I would normally rank below them.

              7. Marvin Hagler
              8. Michael Spinks
              9. Manny Pacquiao
              10. Thomas Hearns

With those names specifically, not really a problem. However, you've got him below Trinidad, Tyson, Toney, Calzaghe, Eubank, Hill, McCallum... come on, man. Spinks is one of the five or six greatest light heavyweights of all time. Completely untouchable in his prime, and moved up to become heavyweight champ for nearly three years.

i did say it was pretty hazy below eubank and i wouldnt be troubeld if you ranked him above mcc, hill etc. but his time at heavyweight is extremely hyped, he barely got past holmes (ill give him the second fight) and didnt fight anyone other than b names until tyson, who embarassed him.

ill give you his run at lhw but it wasn't anything more impressive than any of the guys in my top 15, especially tito, tyson, toney and calzaghe. possibly higher than eubank but its close.

Have the list been reduced to 25 spots or is it still a Top 50?

                      Yup.

But it should also be a crime to rank Lopez and Khaosai that high.

Glad to see you have Chang in there though, albeit he is awfully too low in my opinion, and should never be ranked behind the two previously mentioned.
