Meh.. beg to differ. Yah Ali was hated more, but he also had much more people tuned in watching him and talking his name than Louis did. Boxing wasn't as prevalent in Louis's day as it was by the time Ali's day came along

He dint just get famous afterwards, there were loads of interviews of him where they mentioned him as being the most famous man on the planet.
