For all the power h had, he was one of the fastest great heavyweights. He could KO anyone with any 1 punch from any angle. Most talented ever.

It's so amazingly ironic that so many people have their own opinions on who had more talent. It's almost like a beauty contest or something. But, again I cannot agree with some other opinions that say that Louis and Marciano were more skilled than a prime Tyson. They looked so stolid and stationary in comparison. Well, of course Mike kinda looked that way against Bruno and Douglas to be fair. Louis may have had more accuracy but his was superior to a Marciano/Frazier. They all have their positives and slight negatives if you really wanna scrutinize.

I'd just have to say all around he put punches together a bit better and had the superior defense. I know I did say a prime Tyson was capable of bobbing and weaving for a 10-12 round period. I still stand by it. However, not even Mike at his best was absolutely perfect and he was certainly more effective earlier in a fight.

Prime marciano was more skilled, punched harder (at cruiser), and had a better defense.

In his prime IMO the most skilled ever. Outstanding head movement, lateral movement, footwork, chin, balance, conditioning, jab, blistering combinations & speed, gorilla like strength. Absolute animal with superb timing, handspeed - He had no weaknesses IMO not when prime & Had his **** together.

Even well post prime he did great though he is given such little credit but reality is a prime Tyson beats most HW's if not all to ever live, head-to-head.

He beat nobody blah blah blah, nit-pickers & I agree his C.V isn't the best ever but you could pick faults with any fighters. Any fighter to ever live.

Personally I'd only give a Prime Wlad, prime Lewis, Holyfield & a prime Holmes a chance over him head-to-head. Incase you're wondering why Vitali isn't here is because I think Wlads a hell of a lot better in nearly every area & Vitali's style is what Tyson thrived on despite the huge size & reach difference. Foreman would of been used a heavybag, way to slow.

188 lb gene tunney would destroy a prime mike tyson more cleanly then when he beat dempsey.

Who said Marciano was more skilled than Tyson? That's outright silly.

Joe Louis however had plenty of skill, personally I believe he had the greatest skillset at heavyweight. Lots of them subtle and obscured by quality of the footage.

This is a good watch (click)

Joe Louis could fight from anywhere, going anywhere. Inside, going backwards, in the clinch (three examples where Mike didn't do very well himself)

Right there are a few things Louis could do that Tyson couldn't.

Can you reverse that on me?

marciano had skills you cant see or understand unless you fought him, fought some one like him, fight with his style, or a long time study of his style and similar styles like louis, dempsey, and jeffries.

that marciano didnt have good skills is similar to how people think george chuvalo had a great chin, when even he'll tell ya himself, his chin was only good, it was his defense that was great.

the idea of calling the comparison of marciano's skills to tyson's skills silly, is pretty silly. a very valid argument can be made that either one of them had more skills then the other.

though personally prime for prime tyson vs marciano my moneys on the rock at cruiser.

I never said he didn't have good skills.

But Tyson had better skills. Could've done with Marciano's intangibles though.

no, you said that claiming marciano had better skills then tyson was just silly.

not to infer that he didnt have good skills but that there is a huge gap between their skills.
