Charley Burley is probably the sole fighter that I would pick to get the better of Robinson in a trilogy.

But I have to agree with Poet on the rest. Do I think a fighter could beat Robinson at WW? Absolutely.

Robinson isn't going 3-0 at WW with the likes of Burley, Hearns, Leonard, Griffith, Napoles, Mclarnin, Joe Walcott, Barney Ross, Henry Armstrong, or even the great Kid Gavilan.

But, every one of those fighters, I would favour Robinson to beat if they had only 1 fight where they both came in at theier very best.
Burley's best weight was middle weigh, Sugars WW.

At Sugar's prime I will give him a series against all of the above at WW.

But agreed some of the series will be 2-1.

Gavilan is one of the best WW of all time, and he is 0-2 against SRR. The second fight was a clear cut emphatic win.

You're talking about 147 with same day weigh-ins so that really changes who could even fight under 150 on fight night.

I would say that he could be beat, but if they fought six times no one could beat him more than twice. He is the best at WW.

Could SRL or the Hitman even make a 147 same day weigh-in and still be at their best? Did either of them ever fight at 140? I don't think they did.

I think Duran, PBF, and Pac are three that could have beaten SRL, but probably not more than once out of six.

I dont understand it when people ask things like this, why does someone else have to provide you links? all it takes is a quick search on youtube if you're really interested in seeing a welterweight Ray. Of course you very well know that there are NO full fights of Robinson at welterweight, either that or you haven't bothered to do any research. Your reasoning 9s that since there is no footage of a full Robinson fight at Welterweight then we cannot judge him, a faulty reasoning nonetheless though.

I knew that would be your only response to such great and magnificent rare footage..... would you care to at least do the GOAT the decency of watching these fights a few times and at least show some interest in boxing history,...... I can't see what claims you can make to being anything like an expert,..... I watched them all and I could describe all the amazing talents of this man......... from even this old amateur footage, one fight takes you almost into the ring,... and anybody can see the incredible speed and FEROCITY of this man..... AND YOU SEE WHAT HE DOES AGAINST FIGHTERS GREATER THAN YOUR ROY,...... namely,.. GEORGIE ABRAMS & SAMMY ANGOTT...... those two I would put money on to beat FMjr....... your turn MR PEW.
