Roy would use WHAT jab to hold off Hagler? Roy never used a jab, and it certainly wouldn't suddenly become a factor against the best fighter he'd ever face- who just happens to be left handed.

Roy would win by throwing quick bursts and then moving off. He'd beat Hagler in somewhat similar fashion to the way he did Hopkins, but would lose more rounds to Hagler than he did Hopkins.

Roy's jab was a defensive jab he use it strictly to control distance you need to watch the Hopkins fight again and also watch the Castro fight.

      I've seen him use it...and it's a non-factor.

Is the fight 15 or 12 rounds?

I wasn't irrational when I discovered this thread in the archives,....... I deliberately made a controversial statement because Jones was 9-2 on the poll and because I knew it would bump the thread. I knew all the Hagler fans would find it, and then we have a more balanced poll.......................... it worked, to tell you the truth I think it a pretty even matchup, but unless it was a 15 rounder at least. I think this fight would totally SUCK over the 12 rounds,,,.. Jones wouldn't make a fight of it, he'd move and move and nothing would happen untill I changed channels,......... if Roy was very agressive, we'd then have a decent fight,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,tell you the truth I think Jones should be matched with fast, slick boxers .......and Hagler should be matched against maniac sluggers if you want to see a good fight.

Just like Roy, Leonard past his prime could be knocked out by a strong wind.

Saying Leonard coming out of retirement, in his first fight at middleweight is more durable then Roy is just flat ****** there is absolutely no way anybody who knows even the first thing about boxing could possible think that.

Toney being mostly a flat footed fighter was made to order for Roy. But Roy was just as great in every other fight from 1992-Ruiz. Also Toney was no more drained against Roy then he was in any of his previous fights.

Also Roy stopped throwing the jab around the time he moved to light heavy because most of those guys were taller then him and the jab(which was used pretty much only for defense) would be useless when he was fast enough to land leaping left hooks against slower light heavyweights and still get out of the way of counters.
Roy, ROY, Roy, ROY, Roy, ROY, Roy ROY,.... Rob ROY,.... Toy Boy,..... ROYce Gracie,..... Roy, Roy,............ Oh Boy It's Roy again. You love your Roy don't you Pepe !!!!.... Jones, bones, phones........... Roy, Roy, roy ROYal Family..............Roy Jones.

I'm not ******,...... I'm not the one who just said that Ray Leonard could be knocked out by a STRONG WIND......... I asked you to name his KO losses, and you couldn't name one,, there is ONE TKO in his Career and that was his last fight against Camacho. When Ray fought hagler he was Totally in great condition going the full 15 with Marv' .... And,.. This is where you always fall down,...... you make wierd statements like that above,. To compare Ray Leonard of 1987 to the 1997 version against Camacho is just idiotic....... I refuse to sink down to calling people ******,,,,,,,,, I don't think you are,. I just think you are completely One-Eyed when it comes to your heroes....... and a poor debater... by the way,,.... the Pepe Le Pew cartoons and Pepe jokes are an attempt to get you to lighten up a little.
