By the way, I love how that link you sent me as evidence of Lewis ducking Jones contained the sentence "Lennox Lewis accepted $25million to fight Roy Jones Jr, but he had one obstacle in front of him and that was HBO had to put him in there against Klitschko". I'm convinced you just see whatever you want to see, especially when it comes to Lewis.
Lewis was coming off a 2 round KO loss to a former Tyson sparring partner, he turned down a huge money offer to fight Rid**** Bowe in 1995 then turned down fighting Tyson in early 96 the bottom line is that Lewis only ever fought exposed bums and journeymen his greatest 2 victories in his career was a disputed points win over a well past it Evander Holyfield and an 8rd KO of the shell of Mike Tyson who both Danny Williams & Kevin McBride also beat in quicker and more devastating fashion... you are dumber than i though if you sincerely believe Moorer, Foreman, Holyfield, Bowe, Tyson, Sanders, Holmes who all held the heavyweight title during the 1990s all avoided Lennox Lewis who Oliver McCall poleaxed in less than 2rds with a fight against any single one of those fighters being a career highest payday for Lewis.... Frank Maloney and the Lewis camp always knew that Lewis had a dodgy chin from early in his career.

In terms of excitement? Holmes killed the goldern era of heavyweights. Tyson brought it back to life.
Resume? Holmes ducked alot of the top contenders. Gift decisons over Norton and Witherspoon, almost getting KOed by Shavers and Snipes. Holmes whole carrear was based on his '0' and breaking Marcianos record fighting cherrypicked opposition. Cooney was a hypejob, Ali was shot with Parkinsons ffs. Tyson unified the division becoming the youngest champion in history and fought the best opposition avaliable.
Head 2 Head? Tyson destroyed Holmes. Even in his prime Holmes would of been KOed based on his performances against lesser pressure fighters.

Excitement is not a valid way of ranking fighters IMO.
Holmes resume is much better than Tysons. The sheer number of title defences only add to his greatness.
When Tyson faught Holmes he was 38 yet, when Tyson faces Lewis he was 36 but, he was "past his prime"? Holmes also only had a few months to prepare for the Tyson fight.
If they fought in there prime I can see Holmes walking away with a UD. Holmes got up from an Earnie Shavers.

Styles make primes. Holmes style meant he could continue later than Tyson. Age is important but it has no relevance here. Tyson was champ at 20, Holmes was champ at 29.
When was Holmes' prime? Was it when he got gift decison over Norton in 78? Almost KOed by Shavers in 79, Almost KOed by Snipes in 81? gift decison over Witherspoon in 83 etc etc.
The point is that Holmes was never this great 'underrated' fighter hes made out to be.
