Fairly new here, haven't visited forums much in over a decade. Pretty amazing, the outrageous things that people say here; as if being accurate or sensible are things that don't even matter. 1. Joe Frazier AND Mike Tyson were Hall of Fame level fighters. That is the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval for all-time greatness. 2. BOTH men showed excellent Chins. 3. Frazier may have had a slightly better chin between the two, and Tyson had more explisive condinations and about 10 pounds on Frazier; but what really seperated the two was a sizable difference in Heart. It took allot of "Circumstance" to bring it out, but Mike Tyson had a "give up" threshold that could be reached. Frazier didn't.

Wrong or not Foreman made Frazier look bad, real bad. Those images reverberate, and it creates a disrepect.

Tyson does not have a better chin than Frazier. Frazier took foremans best shots and still got up from all of the knockdowns. If Foreman hit Tyson he would of been out on the first knockdown. Just look at Tyson's history of getting knocked down in a fight. Douglas knocked him down and he never got up, Holyfield knocked him down and never got up, williamson knocked him down and never got up, mcbride knocked him down and then he quit in his corner.

Btw I agree with you completely but doesn't what you say point to Tyson's lack of genuine deep gameness, something Frazier had in spades, rather than a lack of "chin"?

Foreman was the only one to knock out Joe. If Foreman hits any fighter, they are gone. With Tyson it was more about heart than chin. Mike took some bombs from Lennox Lewis that would have KOed most heavyweights. It's very hard to be HW champ with a weak chin.

Did Tyson beat anyone worth mentioning? No. (I won't count Holmes seeing that it was nearly 10 years after his prime.)

Frazier was the first man to beat Muhammad Ali. Not only that, he knocked the **** out of him at the end of the match. The only 2 people Frazier lost to where Ali and Foreman; the Greatest Heavyweight of All-Time and a ****ing wrecking machine that could have dropped anyone in his prime.
