I did. He was 246.5 compared to 253.5 in the first fight. Thank you for making my point.

10lbs in 2 years is a lot of weight gain at any adult age. But for a world class boxer it's detrimental to his conditioning and reflexes. Something we witnessed against bothe Vits and the first Rahman fight.

And it's a 'heavy' ten pounds.

Not like being 22 YOA and putting on bulk.

More like being 35+ and watching your azz droop.

        It's a heavier 10 pounds when you're past 30.

Lewis physique looked great in the fight, no soft spots, big muscle, definition. Looked like he purposefully came in a little bigger and stronger to deal with Vitali, he had a full camp. He was always in shape anyway, even between fights he never got fat.

You've obviously never boxed or competed in any other combat sport. He was training lazy for Johnson and it showed up for Vits. He still got the win, but wasn't hugely impressive doing so. As stated, heavier weight equals less stamina and slower reflexes unless put on over time and as muscle.

He had a full camp. Agreed.

I thought he was showing midlife drift around the middle.

You were in the camp? He never cut corners, I've been to his camps and knew his team. It was going to be one of his last fights, he wanted to shine. He never ever showed up to any fight out of shape. The only mistake was filming a movie in Vegas during Rahman 1 camp but he was still ready, the altitude killed him.

I don't need to have been in his camp, it's common sense that anyone that ever competed before could tell you. In fact during the HBO broadcast George Foreman did just that. Are you claiming to know more than Big George did?

Vitali won the rematch by walkover.
