Look at the date? I said it on this thread on the 17th of this month,it was the 23rd yesterday!

As I mentioned, you're losing the plot big time!
Time to take stock of yourself?

I gave you a chance to let this go, you’re unable to, pathetic, you’d rather jockey for the last word like a woman. I thought that secretive cult of yours preaches for members to improve themselves and personal growth. You obviously missed that part, they must all roll their eyes before pulling their hoods on when you walk in the door.

Were all very popular fighters in the 40's and 50's and if a couple of them shortened their names , it was for billboard purposes not because of prejudice. By the 40's men of Italian heritage were increasingly becoming fight fans and, more importantly, they had the do re mi to show it by buying tickets to see their ethnic heroes. Being of Italian origin in those two decades certainly wasnt a draw back financially, and that was the era the fighter in question ,Marciano plied his trade.
Dempsey just kicked your ass and you really can't stand it.

Okay explain how he kicked my ass ,explain how prejudice back to 1920 is relevant to Marciano being supposedly prejudiced against in the 1950's,because thats what the original post was referring to?

This is what Dempsey posted in reply to my pointing out the chronology

"No, not by the time Rocky was fighting",and that was the time frame in question,Marciano's era.
So tell me how I had my ass kicked?

I'm a little late answering your jibe because my Wife and I, with two friends went to Whitstable for lunch and a few glasses of wine.

when my buddy from Wales visits Canada (I think he's best in his weight class at 154) I can finally bank 20 rounds a day just like rocky did, and see the results. this kid is strong so it's gonna make for some great footage and also to practice the Marciano style. For those who refuse to hear me out (not saying you in particular, just using you to respond with) I hope to at least show them instead. Rocks damn near the goat - him and a few others.

Everyone says oh what made him special?

well nobody was sparring 100-150 rounds a week. if you do that youll learn to be a weapon, learn to ride and avoid shots. simple arithmetic. We are living in a soft era.

I might see where two friends of yours would be a rare event.

Conversations evolve and stray, and do not remain with the original post throughout, Ivy. Your point is weak.

You unfortunately used the words "never" and ..."when were they ever".....or to that effect as if in open time reference. You left an opening. Dempsey seized upon that. In some way you got bested. I already knew you cannot take a truthful jibe especially.

You are even more cross than usual. Over simple oversights you recently replied to Willie Pep and myself:

Which pairings between HEAVYWEIGHTS who NEVER fought each other ,make your top five?

                I give up!
Jesus this Forum is hard work!

Very simple oversights. Ivy, you may take yourself too seriously, scolding others for inattention. You are a guy on a boxing forum. Lighten up. Your posts get plenty of attention in spite of your quarrelsome nature.

I'm trying to keep this Forum alive and healthy,to be honest, if it folds it wont be a deal for me I've other options.

What will all you others ,who don't make a thread a month do?

On that note ,how many responses did you last thread draw?

If you cannot understand ,or are too lazy to read capitals spelling out the criteria of a thread how is that my fault?

I understand the savior complex can be deep in any who care about something.

I actually make quite a few threads, as well as many vigorous responses.

My last thread didn't get any responses. I don't cry about it. Sometimes yours do not get a single response either, or very few. Do you like that? No. Do you cry about it? We just move on and make another effort, right?

Believe it or not, I am trying to keep the forum alive too. I try a lot of things, some do not work. I only consider a thread a success if it engenders quite a bit of discussion, say, roughly 50 responses.

It has nothing to do with laziness. People sometimes look at a sentence and see a slightly different sentence. Pretty common. There is probably a word for it. A badly read sentence can quickly become entrenched so that one reads over it many times without even noticing the oversight.

I see you've made one on Sanchez, well done!
The problem here is the majority of the members are heavyweight fixated,so threads about the lower weights draw little interest. We try.
