Arguably that's a good one he was 31-0 30 yrs. beat prime undefeated Larry Holmes 2x a certified bonafide atg, and a natural heavyweight

Floyd never beat anybody with credentials like that in their prime in his whole career

Well I told you the reason it said arguably. It said he is a natural light heavy and was untested by a top heavyweight.

So I guess there is disagreement about whether the Holmes Spinks fought was in his prime.

It happens to disagree with you
      ..

If ChatGPT is right, sounds like about as good as Mayweather's win vs. Pacquaio

Larry lost a close fight in the first one and was robbed in the second fight. He was not in his prime in his mid 30s. Either way we are not comparing spinks to Mayweather. When spinks lost to Tyson he was basically retired. Even if you count that. Mayweather had a better career then Tyson.

I recently watched both fights - recently as in a few months ago. I was surprised to see Spinks dominate Holmes 2x. I thought it was wider than others thought - unless you hold on to the “take the champs belt” idea. Holmes was indeed past it - but prime Spinks is not only underated but one of the best fighters of the 80s bar non. Even he will tell us that.

However - that Tyson win is bogus to me. Way to many benefits for Spinks to just lay down and go home with his retirement cheque. He basically gave up his 0 for millions and 1 punch to the melon. Pretty sure anyone would do that.

While Mayweather is certainly an overrated cherry picker that shouldnt be in discussion of the greatest fighters of all time - Tyson sits right beside him as one of the most overated fighters of all time bar non. Proportionately Tyson might actually be the most overrated fighter of all time. He had a carefully hand picked career himself, lost to everyone good. Developed a coke addiction early in his career and had very little dedication.

he STILL draws more than any fighter on the planet - even at 58 years old.

yes for those 2 brief years we call his prime - he was a very exciting fighter and he looked like a pitbull. King did a great job on him.

however he loses to any great fighter. He beats non of them. Given the circumstances are at least near equal. We know this because:

he lost to every good fighter he faced. He lost to Journeymen at 24 years of age. Fading A class fighters at 27 and of course later in his career even bums were taking him out.

this is not a knock on Tyson as a person. Im not trying to insult the guy - and yes he probably was a dangerous fight very early on in his career - but hes never gonna beat a great game fighter because he simply doesnt have the self confidence inside of him. As soon as the other guy knows he can take him out - the fights over. And you know why??

                uncommon opinion:

Tyson has FAS (fetal alcohol syndrome) everything from his speech impediment - wide gap from his nose to upper lip and agressively arched eyebrows - and a mother who was a known crack addict. For those who have met anyone with FAS they very rarely (almost never) have the inner confidence of someone without it. Every Person I have ever met with FAS has self esteem issues. This is not something beneficial in a sport like boxing that pretty much depends on a fighters self esteem.

I hope someone reads this post.

Yes and to effectively use it - the chat should be left open and the “deep research” botton can be used in order to gather sourced info.

in the gpts tab - there is also scholar gpt - a chat with 300,000+ uploaded books into its data base of all categories and growing every day. If used properly and communicated with clearly it is crazy how useful it is. Amazing tool!

in the options inside the chat a reasoning mode can also be used to help it understand your question.

baseline chat gpt - while improving is still very mediocre

I am old school. You gotta beat the champ to take the belt. Larry wasn't a well liked champion plus he used to run his mouth bashing Rocky. People didn't like that. Larry was Floyd Mayweather before Mayweather lol.

I highly rate Spinks. Hes an all time great in my book maybe more so at light heavyweight then heavyweight IMO.

Spinks just took the money in that Tyson fight. He didn't want to be there.
