"Two Ton" Tony Galento comes to mind.
Not sure if he could do 10 situps, but he surely could beat the living daylights out of any weightlifter, body builder or Triathlete who ever lived. In the ring or out.

it wasn't so much that Gene was particularly unathletic, rather he looked like a bit of a monster LOL. And was as tough as a Mormon holding down a homestead in Mexico! But let's be real, Gene was not conventionally athletic in any respect of the word
Came from a boxing family though. Didn't his mother train him first?

I'd say Carl Froch fits this bill.

I think there's a bit of confusion here re: athletic and technical abilities.

Jim Thorpe, despite lacking modern training, dominated Olympic decathlon (1912) and NFL/MLB with raw versatility. His 'Bright Path' defied limits in speed, stamina, and body control for era-defining success

                  Zhilei Zhang.

I wanted to mention Andy Ruiz Jr, but he does have his own brand of "athleticism" indeed.

Well, no one mentioned Marciano, who went further than anyone mentioned.
