I can agree with Wilde or Pep and Walker was a great fighter.

Your other picks not at all.

              Good post.

I do like the fact that Wilde is so highly regarded on this thread.

Nor I, Wilson was a mobbed up cheese champ who avoided Greb as long as he could.
Carpentier's best win at175lbs was over a past prime Levinsky who hid his title behind the No Dec rule.

Carp couldn't even beat Siki ,one of the worst of the Lhvy Champs .

                He's trolling.

Yeah. He said original so I gave him the first eight original "officially" recognized champions from Ring 1922.

Is there anything earlier that could claim 'official' status.

                  NBA in 1922 maybe.

It is just another P4P greatest list reworded and qualified by the orignial eight.

You guys have beaten this to death.

I think from now in I am going to champion Marvin Hart as the P4P greatest HW.

Hart beat JJ when Johnson was in his prime. He got robbed against Burns. It is obvious JJ ducked him after JJ got the title. Johnson knew he couldn't beat Hart.

                  See. That my guy.

                  Greatest Original Eight

                  HW . . . Marvin Hart
                  LHW . . . tba
                  MW . . . Nino Benvenuti

Nino is the only champion who can boast that during his championship tenure he had defeated seven of the top ten Ring Magazine ranked MWs. I.e. when he lost the title there were only three names left to choose from on the list, one of them was Monzon, ranked 10th.

Seriously speaking. I wonder how many champions can boast that fact?

                    Why deliberately troll like that?

I simply don"t understand what people get out of it.
