Tunney & Louis

Personally, I would have to bet on Tunney--that he would finish what Conn started. Gene had a similar style and was better and bigger than Conn. Using the same blueprint he only needs to exploit what Conn already exposed.

Couldn't agree more. Tunney is the perfect style to beat Louis, almost as good as a young Cassius Clay. Bad News for Louis.

Looks like they're at a newspaper/commission banquet they had to suffer.
Hotel food; rubber steak, over baked potato and peas; neither looks too interested in eating.
It looks like Tunney took two bites and pushed his plate away. Louis just ate the potato and never touched the s hit looking steak.
I'll bet the speeches were boring as f uck too.
I wonder what got their attention. Is Tunney complaing about pain in his right hand? He complained about it most of his career. Broke it a few times, (I think.)

Louis would have little trouble with Tunney. People saying Conn gave Louis problems....until the 13th round.
This is all beside the point as Tunney would never share the ring with a black man, especially in a title match.

As I stated, Louis would have little to no trouble with Tunney. Tunney is smaller, certainly runs well, but if he got knocked down by a an old slow Dempsey then a Prime Louis would walk him down and knock him out.Originally posted by Bronson66 View Post

Like Joe said: he can run, but he can't hide.
