Verbal Kint, talks his way out of custody on his own. Throughout the film, he weaves a complex story for Agent Kujan, who believes Kint is a small-time con man with cerebral palsy. Verbal's tale convinces Kujan that Dean Keaton (Gabriel Byrne) was the true mastermind behind the criminal events.Comment

NO-ONE was above Soze.
He was the undetectable ghost that other criminal bosses/cartels were utterly terrified of.
I will never forget that finale when Verbal/Soze begins to walk normally.
My jaw dropped in awe!

Great ending. I also like Edward Norton in "Primal fear". Not quite the same level, but right behind it as far as endings and surprises go. Primal fear was also a great book.Comment

I understand your argument.
But I do take issue with the boldface above.
It is impossible (IMO) to be constantly great in the fight game.

All these were wins, but had bad performance nights.
There are many more.
They all have bad nights now and again.
I think it is unfair to diminish greatest because of a bad night here or there.Comment
