Was messaging with Cliff yesterday and was struck with Pacquaio probably being the greatest fighter p4p since Duran. His resume and effectiveness in climbing up in weight are truly a throwback to when fighters took on all comers. There are some fights missed like any fighter, but overall it's astounding what he did in the modern era.

and yes there will be misses which, as Cliff correctly points out, is magnituded when making the swift weightclimbs that pac did. But it’s noteworthy that you cannot make a better resume if he he fought the fighters he missed instead of the fighters he actually fought. That is arguably the case for Roy Jones Jr. and it’s far from the case for Pacquiao.

Manny's resume will get stronger over time. When future generations look back on some of the greatest of all-time P4P fighters, Manny will arguably be in the top five of any discussion. A rare fighter who walked directly into the fire, taking on tough challenges and even tougher rematches. One of the most exciting and entertaining fighters to watch as a spectator and a true sportsman and gentleman.
