  • Watched Frankie Randall-Juan Martin Coggi I, this was a crazy fight. Coggi gets dropped with a right hand in the first, drops Randall in the second with a left and from then on it is just a lot of exchanges and Coggi shows some good defensive movement when fighting off of the ropes. It is an interesting contrast between Randall's very technically correct combinations and Coggi's herky-jerky movement and hooks.

    Bout to watch Rosario-Randall I.

    • Carbajal v Gonzalez 3 with Ricardo Lopez, Terry Norris, Genero Hernandez were on the undercard what a bill that was

      • De La Hoya v. Quartey

I had Quartey winning by a point or a draw. I have no idea how he stayed up in the
        12th.

          • Leonard Vs. Hearns I.....rounds where my scoring differed from the official scorecards are noted with an * plus my reasoning:

            Round 1: 9-10 Hearns
Round 2: 10-9 Leonard* Scored officially for Hearns. Close round,
            Leonard outjabbed Hearns.
Round 3: 9-10 Hearns* Scored officially for Leonard. Hearns outworked
            Leonard.
            Round 4: 9-10 Hearns
Round 5: 10-10 Even* Scored officially for Hearns. Hearns outjabbed
Leonard, Leonard landed the only meaningful power punches.
            Round 6: 10-9 Leonard
            Round 7: 10-9 Leonard
Round 8: 10-10 Even* Officially scored for Leonard. Practically a replay of
            Round 5.
            Round 9: 9-10 Hearns
            Round 10: 9-10 Hearns
            Round 11: 9-10 Hearns
            Round 12: 9-10 Hearns
            Round 13: 10-8 Leonard

Score at the time of the stoppage: 123-125 Hearns.

If the fight hadn't been stopped in the 14th, that round would have been scored 10-8 for Leonard which would have made the fight even going into the 15th round on my card.

Almost identical to my scorecard. Had it 125-122 Hearns, as I scored the 8th round for Tommy.

One of my favs.. I actually had the 5th for Hearns so my score would have been 122-126 Hearns..

Leonard shipped some hefty shots in that one, including several 'cork screw' uppercuts that Hearns had him eating for breakfast.. It's widely regarded that Leonard's detached retina injury, occurred during that fight.. Had Tommy not have gassed out in the 14th, the fight would've been his, 'in the bag' IMO..

I remember at the time of Leonard's surgery and subsequent retirement, he claimed it occurred during the hearns fight. Harold Weston also suffered a detached retina at the hands of Tommy.

Watched Ali vs Bob Foster from November 0f 72. Ali toyed with Foster throughout. Ali got cut in the 4th, and proceeded to drop Foster 4 times in the 5th. In the 7th, after dropping Foster for a 5th time, Ali allowed Foster to hit him with 3 clean right crosses, none of which even tickled Ali. Ali landed a sweet right cross, left hook combo that dropped Foster for a 6th time. Finally, Ali put Foster to sleep in the 8th. earliest recollection of a Mills lane refereed bout.

Might have to look at that one again I always have Leonard ahead at the time of the stoppage!
Its the only fight that I think Leonasrd got ill served by the judges, and everyone else by the looks!
Maybe this is how the mental decline starts lol, still not had a bad run.
