I’ve posted comparison videos that demonstrate their defensive prowess and they look very similar in footwork, ducking, slipping bob/weave, etc.
So can that be a form of ring generalship?

It is just your such an idiot you overlook things... Not my fault. How is your opinion obvious? Usually like 99% of time your opinion is absurd! I mean really... sheesh.

I never understood Queen's "Ginsberg and Kerouac" insult.

Just a beat poet and a an early "influencer" (before we coined the term.)

But I don't think: their works are that bad; that a comparison works as an insult.

Both pretty mediocre IMO for what is treated as world-class.

Is it an aggressive fighter (Armstrong), a defensive type (Mayweather or Pep), a counter puncher (Moore) or someone who is a mix of skills?
Archie Moore fits the bill for me.

One of the qualification might be actually fighting in your fights. I appreciate Locche's artistry but he was a freak show.

Yeah... Locche to me was responsive, reactive in his approach, not really aggressive enough to control the fight

Of guys I've seen in my lifetime, I'd go with Floyd Mayweather Jr. & Bernard Hopkins.

I've never watched a fight with either where I felt that they were out of control.

Usually, they were mentally in control of all of their fights.

All-time, I'd be tempted to go with Muhammad Ali, who knew how to mentally fxck his opponent & demoralize them fighting off the back foot until they were adequately fxcked & he could finish them.
