How long had Margarito been cheating before he was caught before the Mosely fight?

Could be that he was only caught for the Mosley fight. Or that it goes way back in time all the way since the Martinez fight, i.e. the theory that his wraps "hardened" late in the fight and Sergio couldn't take the shots anymore and got stopped.

Could have been since the Clottey fight, as I recall he injured himself trying to punch Margarito and I heard he said that he broke his hand from hitting Antonio's gloves. Who knows.

Could have been the Paul Williams fight, the fight where he had a very late start as Paul was walking through Margarito's shots at first but by the later rounds was getting his head violently snapped back and almost got uppercutted into the air a few times a la Foreman Frazier.

Or Margarito was simply a machine who did his hardest work late in a fight, who knows.

I don't know what the odds were in the other fights you mentioned, but he was the underdog against Cotto, and the favorite against Mosley. Given those circumstances I believe at the latest he first creates against Cotto considering the damage Miguel took. Why cheat when you're the favorite, but not as the underdog? At the end of the day though the Mosley fight is the only one he got caught so I agree, who knows? But his career should always be looked at su****iously in my opinion.
