It will be guesswork for sure, but I reckon we could all notice how Marg's punches became less effective after the Mosley incident.

Maybe it started at the Lujan fight where Lujan's ear almost fell off?

See I'm not so sure that's true anymore. It had been years but I recently rewatched his fight against Pacquiao and the couple of moments his shots got through, he was able to hurt Manny and at one point he almost dropped him after that brutal body shot.

He actually literally beat the bloody piss out of Pacquiao. The man said that he lost a part of his prime in the ring that night(not exactly in those words). It's just that his offense was 10x more effective so nobody really remembers anything Margarito landed.

Some forget that all the punishment Margarito had taken in his fights up untill Mosley were starting to add up, and in that fight he took a career altering beatdown. The type that can end a career. So we have to put it in perspective, after he was caught he was already done as a top level fighter. He always had a late start and by the time he was warmed up, his bad eye would already be swollen almost shut.

The plaster was a few crumbles that couldn't dent a fly, but mission accomplished when Marg let the public know that something fishy was in the works so they could counter bet their Margs bets with emergency Mosley bets so they could at least come out even if not make some $$$...only in boxing, folks...
