The average weight of Jack Johnson's title challengers is 202.4lbs
O Brien 162.5lbs
Ross 214lbs
Kaufman 191lbs
Ketchel 170.25lbs
Jeffries 227lbs
Flynn193lbs
Johnson 222.75lbs
Moran 203lbs
Willard 238.5lbs
Total 1822 lbs Divide by 9
Equal 202.4lbs
No arguments, no spin ,no altering my statement ,no BS, that's the average!
Joe Louis' average is 203lbs,just over half a pound more.
Total weight of Louis' challengers
Equal 5085.5lbs
Divided by 25
Equals 203 lbs
* If 190lbs Johnny Davis was included as a bona fide title challenger the total would be 5275.5lbs
Divided by 26.
Which would then give us an average of 202lbs just under a half a pound less than Johnsons!
I certainly would not include it as defence, but I have absolutely no doubt that if our positions were reversed you would! lol
As a side note for Them Apples. Marciano's weight for title challengers is a perfectly respectable average of 192lbs .
a buddy of mine weighs more than George Foreman, he works at a desk job and plays games on his phone when he gets home. He’s the one guy I gotta avoid. He’s about 5 ft 9 I’d say.
also, how many title challengers did Rock face?Last edited by them_apples; 07-27-2024, 08:01 PM.

I could be pedantic and say Conn's actual weight was168lbs, 6 lbs less than the recorded 174lbs,which would put Louis' average challengers weight lower than Johnson's,but I proved my point and corrected a liar.
Can't you find some way to make your posts readable?
It's like trying to interpret morse code and TBH the end result doesn't justify the effort.
I mistakenly thought you might be interested to learn the average weight of Marciano's challengers,my error.
Your puerile attempt at sarcasm reached a new low in humour, why don't you swap roles with your fat Buddy?
I'm sure his content will be more enlightening than your own and perhaps he might actually provide some primary sources for his statements, though I doubt any of them would be as hilarious as some of yours are!
N.B. Marciano faced 6
Walcott 196 1/2lbs
Lastarza 184 3/4lbs
Charles185 1/2lbs
Charles 1921/2lbs
****ell 205lbs
Moore 188lbs
Since you stated
Holmes v M Spinks 1.199 3/4lbs &2. 205lbs
Tyson v M Spinks 212 1/4lbs
Liston v Patterson 1.189lbs &2.194 1/2lbs
Were fights against Light Heavyweights.
How would you classify Rocky's fights with Charles1. 185 1/2lbs ,Lastarza2. 184 3/4lbs , and Moore 188lbs ?Last edited by Bronson66; 07-28-2024, 02:33 AM.

Meanwhile ,it's a lovely sunny Sunday morning here in the UK.
I'm going to have some boiled eggs, read the Times, attempt to do it's crossword, potter about on this PC,and get up to date with the Olympics. Then watch last nights Joyce v Chisora fight .By then it will be time for me to get ready to go to my Sunday lunchtime Jazz ,which will be followed by a few games of Euchre accompanied by some liquid refreshment.
Enjoy your day!Last edited by Bronson66; 07-28-2024, 02:43 AM.

Beaten Ivich. Jack Johnson did not beat Jim Johnson or Willard. Take them out of your division. As for his style, on film it involves clinching, and fouling. Jeffries was inactive for 6 years and old.
Who told you Ketchell was 170 LBS? BS, that's a Box Rec weight. He was closer to 155. One the promotion he wore cowboy boots and a coat to make himself look taller and bigger.

BTW .The average weight of Jeffries challengers was 188lbs. 14lbs below Johnson's!
PS Ketchel weighed 170lbs when he fought Joe Thompson in1908.Last edited by Bronson66; 07-30-2024, 03:14 PM.
