I'd be lying if I said I remembered the circumstances surrounding Spinks career at that point. But this sounds more like Holmes vs Tyson to me.

Spinks was semi retired after the Holmes rematch. Only fought twice in 3 years after that, and was inactive for over a year going into the Tyson fight. It's why he was "lineal" but didn't have any of his belts.

He only held the lineal and IBF titles though and was stripped of the IBF for fighting Cooney for a better payday the number one contender Tucker. Maybe I'm just nitpicking, but what does semi retired even mean? Spinks was never the most active fighter to begin with. Either way I think Tyson took his soul before they even got into the ring. Just my opinion, friend.

            - - Spence's tumble with his wrecked Ferrari is what nixed Spence. While predictable to anyone cognizant of 101 physiology and psychology, we can also clearly see the evidence where he was off balance and very tentative against a light swatting journeyman stinker Ugas. Craw was his cash in fight...DUH!!!

It's like U was born yesterday for the umpteenth time today.

3 Dwight Muhammad Qawi (Braxton ) 2 wins over Mathew Saad Muhammad

all 3 fighters were never the same again after losing
I really like #1 and #2, those were soul-snatchers, The Prince never fought again and Barrera was so confident of his victory he gave up a point to slam The Prince's head on the corner post and refused to touch gloves, refused to smile, Barrera had all the subtlety of a bazooka that night. Good. The Prince deserved it.

                  - - Had one fight in 1987 vs Cooney for $4mil, and then Tyson for big bucks, but for Tyson he had both knees wrapped, the likely reason he never had a chance and retired.

Usyk took the soul outta Blubber, guaranteed, and Vit took the soul out of Lewie, Wlad took the soul out of David Haye, and Tony Thompson took the soul outta Odlanier Solis, embarrassingly...

Lewis walked away having beat every professional fighter he ever faced. Vits didn't even rematch the fighter he lost to and was active during his career. I guess we can say Byrd took Vits soul if we're using your convoluted logic.
