Whos the GOAT?

Not everyone has the same criteria when discussing GOAT. It's worse in basketball where media and the easily influenced throw ", Championship rings", into the equation. A team sport.
At least in boxing we don't have that issue.
For me it's Robinson. He has the resume to back it up. He certainly had the longevity. The quality of opposition is elite. The # of fights and wins impressive.
Besides all that Sugar Ray passes the eyetest. The speed, boxing ability, chin to go with one shot power in either hand.
When someone mentions P4P thats what I'm looking for. The current P4P King Terance Crawford has all the attributes to at least fit the mold of Robinson.
I can't see anyone coming along better than SRR.Comment

I don’t think there is any one greatest of all time. For one thing, it’s subjective, we all quantify greatness differently. Comparing fighters of different eras will always be met with the difficultly of measuring todays fighters durability versus old timers who fought several times per month, used 4 - 6 ounce gloves, and didn’t have the advantages of modern nutrition, footwear, and of course PEDs, which brings me to my next measure of greatness.
How many ATG fighters who have tested positive in recent decades (Fury, Mosley, Jones Jr., Toney, Canelo) or have a heavy cloud of su****ion hanging over their heads (Holyfield, Mayweather, Marquez) should have their legacies questioned and how would their careers have played out without the PEDs?
Robinson, Pep, Greb, Moore, had durability that cannot be matched or rivaled by greats like Ray Leonard, Michael Spinks, De La Hoya, who had relatively short careers by comparison.Comment

Robinson for the talent
Marciano for his fighting spirit
Greb for his tenacity (greb seemed to beat everyone, no matter how big - didn’t matter).
Armstrong has a bit of everythingComment

Because it’s true. Who is more of an authority on all time greatness? Sports writers who never stepped into a ring? Boxers? Coaches? Random online fans? Most people don’t fen bother to quantify their selections, they just blurt out names based upon some inherent bias.Comment
