The most impressive, evolved modern heavyweight might be James Jeffries!

You can't today raise a child an 'American Christian' and not expect him to say ****** sounding things when he is an adult.

You can't be a child raised a 'racist' in the eugenics mode and not expect ****** beliefs when an adult.

I know little of the man's political beliefs except his behavior towards Johnson.

I have a 'hair splitting' question for you.

Did London merely champion the 'white man's cause' via Jeffries or did he also, in his rhetoric, make derogatory statements about Johnson, and Johnson's race?

Most would say it doesn't matter. But to me it is a hair I would split when evaluating the man's humanity.

Always got to watch out for the 'judge a man by his own time' rule.

I did read somewhere that London felt it was logical for a white man to support a white boxer as it was for a black boxing fan to support a black boxer.

I figured he was a dog lover; that's a low mark in my book. He did write Call of the Wild and White Fang with dogs as stars of the books. Sick.

whomever showed you the way? Shoot them... Then just to make sure? cut their head off? and then? separate the head from the body, by at least 3 states... burn the body and the head... So we can make sure they never ever get the chance to show anyone else the way...

No no... Not simply Manifest Destiny run mucky mucky. He had a real acrimonious hard on for Johnson. He felt belittled personally, or so it would seem to me he did. No way to verify the "WHY" but the "WHAT" included racial baiting and a personal crusade to stop Johnson.

Ok so... Let people draw their own conclusions on cultural blindness... See Link below. My feeling is that London had all the tools to know better and as a visionary concerning the plight of men and their suffering under a repressive system of power... either should have known better than to go the Eugenics route, or, used the Eugenics to rationalize his misunderstanding of how Johnson was so accomplished. I attribute some malice, others may not... Here is a good source let people decide on their own.

New York Herald/June 25, 1910 “Mother Nature in the White Man Still Red of Fang and Claw” Calls Him “Mightiest Walloper of Men” Negro Mastered by the Moment and Vastly Less Disciplined Than His Ant…

Ali, as a younger man once made a statement about "birds of a feather flocking together"

Ali claimed to feel this way, without making any distinctions regarding "better or worse." He goes to great lengths to qualify his views, which BTW changed over the years and were manipulated at that point by the American ****** agenda... This is very different than London's feeling which goes to great lengths to romantisize and give a superiority to the White Germanic culture of Jeffries.

London had a distaste for what he felt Johnson represented... and I maintain that as intelligent as London was, he was either blind, or willfully ignorant of how his feelings about JOhnson blended with his rationalization for the degree of superiority he ascribed to Jeffries.

And dang it, London, the inveterate travellor, the man around town should at least have shown some insight into Africa as an ancient and wise society, and then he could have either made a distinction regarding JOhnson, or at least acknowledged that his views were biased. He was ultimately biased because he ascribed a quality of superiority and inferiority to human conditions WHEN he was on record as supporting the underclass of savage workmen and dock wallopers who toiled under the elite producers, the captions of industry that guided the manifest destiny of the anglo saxon enterprise (Being facitous but the point should be understood lol).

You are applying 2021 morals to 1910 morals. Why should he have insight into African history when even today it is either misunderstood or not well documented?

Yea, OK, but what's important is whether you liked my addition to your story.

P.S. Is 'wokie' a word, a word yet? - You might want to stick with "you sound WOKE" for right now.
