Pryor versus Arguello 1&2 anyone remember these two mega fights!?

    https://********/GMV7Kfj6GkQ first fight
    https://********/pRAQz-OMrtw Second fight

Arguello was a proud warrior who gave his all and in this effort against Pryor sacrificed his future health... most probably, given his untimely end and dementia. These fights are incredible and lets all remember the price Arguello paid to give us them.

Aaron Pryor was an incredible talent. Many damaged fighters who have supreme talent never make it far... Oliver McCall for example... But Pryor not only found a way to be great, but he did it in a manner where NOBODY can claim that any short comings from his opponent helped his victory. He literally took the best of one of the sport's premier punchers, a guy with the form of a Joe Louis, in a marquee division, and won by hitting harder, sustaining the conflict a little longer, and putting it all together.

Fighters like Ian Barkly, Aeron Pryor, who just keep coming are an amazing testament to our will and purposefulness when directed... what can be done.

Both men paid a heavy price here... may the Most HIgh however understood aid their spirits. And a sboxing fans may we not minimize their quest for fistic glory.

Hated it! (I) I was a big Arguello fan. He was down here in Miami with us.

Didn't bother to watch (II), I knew what was coming.

Got to sit next to him at the Camacho Boza-Edwards fight. Great, great guy!

Is that Iran Barkley not Ian? Because surely did not seriously just compare Iran Barkley or Aaron Pryor?

As for the fights, particularly the first one, were impossible to forget.

Iran Barkley. lol. Is there an "ian?" my damn spelling. Comparing the unrelenting styles, not their abilities.

The first fight was definitely the better.

I did check if there was an Ian Barkley first Didn’t think there was.

Arguello was my first ever favourite fighter along with Carlos Monzon.

A few brutal fights can finish a man. I have seen that a lot. Under that guideline, Arguello could never be as good again after the first one. And he wasn't, even in the 2nd fight. Pryor may not have known Panama Lewis was in all probability slipping him power juice, but, sorry, I have to protest that the achievement is nonetheless tarnished even by the presence of Lewis and by what transpired in the corner. Let's face it, one bottle of water is as good as the next, er... or should be. And a snake in the grass is a snake in the grass, too. When a character like that already has the evil reputation, and he is working your corner, that is on you. Not convicting Pryor. The timeline might be a little fuzzy. Did Lewis have any evil in his reputation yet? Wiki-pedia says he was well respected at some point. But we doubt his basic character changed any. Psychopaths are born early and usually come into bloom later.

The ref has to tell Lewis to stop coaching? Never heard that one before lol... Should have said, watch the cement dust... that was bad.
