I will have to inspect T. Gibbons closer. There is not as much literature on non champion pure boxers. Mike for sure was something of a light hitter. I always knew Tommy could outpunch Mike P4P who was the better pure boxer.

Lennox lewis is kind of underrated in this regard. He had a great jab, an iconic right cross and right uppercut. He could also nail opponents with the left uppercut and left hook. Though his overhand right could come from very long range he also had the ability to crack them with straight rights as well. Great body work too when he focused on that. He was pretty gifted.

totally agree. i feel people here should show him more respect. he beat every man he ever faced and his technique was awesome.
whenever i speak about lewis nearly always people say klitschko was beating him. i feel he was coming back in the middle rounds and it was his last ever fight. he was winding down by then. he was possibly the goat.

I can see him defeating any boxer ever lived with his arsenal of weapons. The man could do it all, a very complete fighter who is sadly underrated now. His only flaw was his eagerness to attack which left him open at times and he paid dearly twice. Nobody in boxing is more scrutinized for 2 mistakes in a long illustrious career like Lewis.

He could out jab taller guys, power in both hands, combinations, ruthless uppercuts, hooks, body shots, straight rights

Of course, today, Terence Crawford's got a pretty good arsenal. Usyk as well. Lomachenko too.
Tyson was a technical marvel, he really was... He studied fighters, watched fights, and decided on a base style that would allow him to short circuit the corrupt judging in the sport. He did throw everything and could KO a man with either hand. Wanna know something crazy? Prior to some injury in his career One handed Razor Ruddock threw everything and had a superb jab. Actually we could look at just heavyweights and see that a lot of great fighters threw everything.

Injuries are a *****. Got another marvel for ya, before Golota shattered his left arm in a car accident he could double and triple up on jabs like you wouldn't believe and switch at will between left hooks, left uppercuts and hookercuts(Lampley).

In the two fights against Bowe he really did throw everything at him. Literally. Pretty graphic display despite also being a marvel.

But it got me thinking on a simpler level.

What HWs had KD power in both hands?

Fighters like Dempsey and Louis come to mind. Both had KD power with either hand.

Whereas fighters like Frazier (left hook) and Baer (right hand) were thought of as being lethal with only one hand.

Then there are the fighters like Ali who didn't have dynamite in either hand, but would, instead down their opponents with, fast and accurate combinations.

I wonder how many HWs had 'one punch' knock down powers in both hands?

                  Foreman?
I think Lewis, Liston, among others.

! I remember that, Yes Golata could throw everything and one can see it in some of his fights, couldn't the Klitchko brothers both KO with either hand? I would think so, not sure though.

I felt like at times the cerebral Lewis was stuck in his head... He also, at these times (coincidently?) looked a bit dry in addition to seeming preoccupied. While 20 20 hindsight is no real verification of much, He looked this way in his losses. I do feel more people are rating him higher. I still think he does not get enough credit for all the quality guys he fought. People like the Queen B always making it seemed like Lewis ducked... when it was apparent to anyone, looking at the time how fighters performed and were perceived, Lewis always chose the stronger opponent, even when it meant vacating a belt.
