Worst beatings we ever saw

Some bad beatings include: Norton vs Cooney, Foreman vs Roman (Brutal) ,Frazier vs Quarry 2, Leonard vs Ranzany, Duran vs De Jesus 3. And Marciano vs Charles, Walcott and Moore (retired and permanently damaged all of them). When we say beating I am referring to the fighters taking permanent damage and being hurt badly, physically.

Let™s hear some more.

This fight IMO takes the cake. and endless series of full leveraged shots from a hard puncher against a fighter that refuses to go down.

Yea that's when the long term damage occurs.

Getting blow out in one round, whether it be round orne, two, or three, is a better thing than going 12 rounds in a non-competive fight.Best to take a quick trashing for three minutes than 36 minutes of smashes to the head.

Phillip Moorefield vs Dwight Davison.

Moorefield was taken to school, bad.

I watched it live in person. I forget where I watched it, but it was brutal.

I remember it was the first time that I felt really bad for a fighter.

Moorefield was too tough for his own good.

He ate a ton of nasty shots in this one, and Davison could punch.................Rockin'

Vitali vs Sanders, Duran vs Moore. Both refs should have been fired for waiting far too long before stopping those fights.

Also the massacre of Tommy Collins in his LW challenge against Jimmy Carter is hard to watch... even today, so many years later! Several of the the many knockdowns suffered by Collins, looked absolutely fight-ending - and yet he was somehow allowed to go on, long after the fight should have been stopped. As said, not pretty to watch!

Knowing how it ended I'd say the second KD was the end. Not knowing what would happen, I say the third KD and it was definitely over. Anything past the 3rd KD starts to scream ****** referee. Even I could see this was not a competitive fight.

I wonder if we counted the multiple KD fights before and after Benny Paret, would we see a change in stoppages?

Those delayed knockdowns. That guy had heart doe.

In the last knockdown, did you see how he was 'frozen'? The shot lands, he's thinking about something and he loses his balance. Did you notice how his legs never left the position, when he was on his back, that they were in when he ate the shot. Froze 'em!
