But you still won't admit he signed to fight Joe Jeannette for the title, will you, hmmm?

You still won't answer any of my questions. You are lying as I am quoting Boxing Illustrated on Johnson. Why would they make anything up???

Oh, I'm lying? You weren't claiming it was in that book? Then why did you type this, dumbo

You're a liar and you know it

You haven't asked me any question. You just keep asking me to do research for you. I told you, do your own research and bring it to the thread. I'll be waiting.

But you have to admit that you lied and address how much money Jeffries made for Munroe. You saw that, right? But you ducked it. Duck duck duck

Keep lying and ducking my questions. Oh and Jonhson backed out of a signed contact to fight Langford, and fought numerous title shots vs. many underserving title challengers for less money that we would have made vs. Langford, Jeannette and Mcvey quite a few times. They were the top 1-4 contenders along with Gunboat Smith who happend to knock Johnson silly in a 4 round exhibtion match as in TKO. I have the review of that fight as can post here upon request. You know it, I know it, and most importantly know that I know it. Keep deying what is in print and lying.

Ask your question now. If it requires me to do research for you, I will tell you to go do it yourself. Deal.

Go ahead and ask. But remember.....quid pro quo. You ask a question, then you answer mine right after. Deal? I'll let you go first.

You are the only one here ducking and dodging. And I'm going to keep making you look like a clown.

              Let's go! Ask your question!

              1. You don't have a review of the Gunboat Smith fight because it wasn't a fight, dumbo.
              2. The amount of the contract for Langford was paltry.
              3. Johnson accepted multiple fights with Langford (I counted at least 3), McVey, and Jeannette.

All facts. But I'll be keeping an eye out for your question so that I can answer and make you duck mine

The man was as defiant and boorish as they come. You think he would/could act in such a Machiavellian manner?

Too subtle an act for such an uneducated man acting as his own manager. Too many variables to control.

Also such an act demands he hold a need of 'wanting to be fan accepted.' Otherwise why bother with the scam. But we know he made his dime off playing the villain; people paid to see him lose.

He never gave a tinker's damn what people thought, why would he start caring with the Jeannette fight? It's not like he cared if the colored community embraced him. He didn't, in fact he often would deliberately antagonize them, e.g. calling ALL black women whores and thieves.

The man had a bad habit of being obvious about his ****** decisions.

I know, I know, he susposedly invented a wrench in prison. I don't believe that either. I believe the wrench exists and that there is a patten with a name on it, but I don't believe he designed it. If the name is his, he probably made a deal to use his name.

The man was half showman, half conman, half fighter, but in the end it seems not too bright.

Maybe Trump ******. His ego often got in his way and he ended up broke and serving (unjust) time anyway, just like so many other fighters.

You got this guy pulling off a slick move; a guy who in the real world ran face first into every wall put in front of him.
Can we see the verified quote from Johnson in which he called all black women whores and thieves please?Or is this a figment of your imagination?
" I can love a black girl but they don' treat me like the white women I have been with." Jack Johnson ,rather different to your unverified statement?

Johnson was married to a black woman and close friends with many black female entertainers, including Ada ,"Brick Top" Smith, and Josephine Baker.
Johnson's patent for the wrench is listed in the US Patent Office.
It would be nice if some people took the trouble to do some research before making unverified,{ and easily disproven,]statements that indicate they have made up their minds on subjects without bothering to take the trouble to become informed on them.
Its also rather ironic that these same posters require dated and headlined quotes from others yet readily make assertions with no evidence whatsoever to back up their own claims.
Johnson was self educated ,spoke three languages, played a musical instrument, and successfully conducted his own defence in two court hearings. Not too bright? I rather think he would have no difficulty in holding his own with the posters on this forum!

I mean, if you are going to make allegations against an all time great boxer who can't defend himself in the history section of all places, what's wrong with backing up your claims so that it's clear you are not tainting his legacy? At least that much is owed to the history section, and Johnson.

I've never heard anyone claim Johnson was half a fighter. And that's pretty tame compared to the other things you called him. The least you could do is back up your claims.
