7 months went by after Jeffries beat Munroe and before Johnson's loss to Hart. 7 whole months....and your boy still made it clear he wanted no part of Johnson. Here is more proof for you.

So are you lying when you say he was willing to fight? Because here he says he is not. And he had more than enough time. He should have fought him instead of Munroe, but he didn't even want to fight him AFTER Munroe. Facts!

Dude, Jeffries did fight African Americans before Johnson and he said Johnson is an opponents he would consider after he beat Murnoe directly to the San Fran Press. Does that mean anything to you? Of course not. The color line was complicated and there was never a big 1910 Reno like purse back in 1904- 1905. Besides Johnson lost to Marvin Hart in 1905 and the fight was billed as an elimination match to meet Jeffries. If Hart was black why do I get the feeling you would say Jeffries ducked him? Jeffries said he would fight Hart if there was demand for it. There was not.

The public saw a potential fight as a blow out ( the gates comprised for the majority of the purses back then . ) There was not enough in the potential earnings to fight Hart so Jeffries retired.

You are not very knowledgable. As the they say look it up. And while you are at it look up the amount that Johnson made vs. Burns, O'brien, Ross, Kaufman, Jim Johnson, and Moran and compare and contrast to the numerous offers he would have made vs. Jeannette and Langford. Compare and contrast! I challenge you to do so. I have had these conversation with smarter people than you. They say I have a point.

      END.

Are you sure about that? I read a report that there was some contention he would fight, but it was premature and he indeed said he would NOT fight Johnson.

And the day before the Johnson vs. Hart fight, he still said he would refuse to fight Johnson. Here is the proof. Looks like you don't know as much as you think you do.

        Monday, March 27th, 1905, Waterbury Evening ********

So what do you have to say now? Can you address that and not duck it?!!

Still waiting for you to post the "numerous" offers that we've been waiting for for Johnson vs. Jeannette and Langford. I know of the ones that he accepted.

        • Did you read what Jeffries said to the press right after he beat Munore? Johnson was in the mix for a future opponents! DUH. There goes your argument. But Hart took care of business of Jack Johnson chances when he beat him. And Jack was not considered for a fight with Jeffries after that until 1909. I let you look it up and learn, you can shown some integrity by posting it. I'll give you a hint. I found it in the San Fran chronicle right after the more fight. The problem was there wasn't a secure money offer to face Johnson or Hart after the 1905 fight and wasn't until 1909. When Jeffries can make the money he wanted to he took the Johnson fight way past his prime at age 35, out of the ring, fat and out shape.
I say again if the was a Reno like purse in 1902-1904 we see Jeffries vs. Johnson then. And IMO Jeffries would have won that fight.

Again he made way more money than anything that was offered by Johnson for 1902- 1904 by fighting Fitz and Corbett.

I just posted what he said the day before Johnson fought Hart.

            You are out of excuses.

HE SAID THE DAY BEFORE JOHNSON'S FIGHT THAT HE WOULD NOT FIGHT JOHNSON EVEN IF HE WON. Do you deny this?

They were talking about $40,000 to Jeffries for Johnson vs. Jeffries. $30,000 and they were trying to raise an extra $10,000 so that he would stop ducking like a coward, but he wouldn't touch it.

But he did fight Johnson and you won't quote what he said to the press in 1910. Hmmmm... That is if he was not out of the ring for six years, and Old he would have won. A private fight was offered to Johnson in his prime. He ticked tail like a coward and walked away! There was never a big purse for the fight until 1909. Wake up!

DUH. You are defective and not familiar with the Johnson's standing in of the 1899-1905 time lines.

The guy would not even fight prime versions of Jeannette, Langford or McVey as champion. He did not fight Gunboat Smith who TKO'd him in an ex match , or Luther McCarty who was viewed as the best of the " white hopes " He did fight Jess Willard who was not very young, old or in-active. What happened???

The same thing when he fought prime versions of Griffin, Choynski, and Hart. Your wife beating idol lost! Go it now? Don't both replying unless you quote me in full context of what I said.

This has nothing to do with ducking Johnson from 1903 - 1904 at least. And stop asking me to share quotes that YOU want. Post them yourself. I'm not going on a wild goose chase looking for quotations that you want. DO IT YOURSELF! I could easily post Jeffries saying that he could never beat Johnson at the end of their fight so what's the point?

A private fight? lol. You're a joke. He wanted to fight for the title. It's Jeffries that was the coward.

Ridiculous. It was already proven that he attempted to fight Jeannette. Already proven that he agreed to fight Langford and McVey. You can't be TKOed in sparring and no one cares about sparring fairytales anyway. Do you care that McCall put down Tyson in sparring? I don't.

He was jobbed by the ref/judge vs. Hart. He was green vs. Choynski, which should be obvious to even casual fans who know a little about him since Chonyski is always credited to have taught Johnson how to fight in the first place. So why would you be harping on this loss??? You're a disgrace and so see through. All of this has been backed up here with sound evidence. These events you mention with Choynski and Griffin occurred pre-1903. In 1903 when he was ready to fight for the title, Jeffries ducked him though the fighting public wanted the fight and a boatload of cash was being thrown at Jeffries.

I don't care how mad it makes you. Those are the facts that have been proven here. Only one of us posts evidence to prove their position, and it's not you. The only thing you do is duck and avoid the evidence. Watch this:

Do you acknowledge that Jim Jeffries stated the day before Johnson's fight with Hart that he would NOT fight Johnson if he won?

Let's see if you can answer a simple question. I bet you duck it.

How big would the purse need to be? Jeffries only got $9,156 to fight Munroe.

An athletic club was offering a $15,000 purse for Johnson-Jeffries.
Another guy was trying to put together a fund to build up to $10,000 and claimed an athletic club would offer around $25,000, for Jeffries to take home around $30,000.
Sam McVey's team offered $20,000, as has been posted here already.

Here's the proof that Jeffries only got $9,156. Jeffries was clearly upset that he made such little money for this fight, but if he would have fought Johnson instead like the public wanted, surely he would have gotten more.

The purse amount was higher than the offers for Johnson. Jeffries gross cut of the action would be in these fights after the promoters and his opponent took their cut is? And look at the jokers that Johnson fought is Ross, and Kaufman. Again how much actually money did Johnson make for O'Brien, Ross, Kaufman, and Moran? You won't supply that. Why??? He backed out of the Langford fight, a signed contract and avoided him and Jeannette for years as champion from 1909-1914. For shame. You ducked this information.

And Johnson tucked tail for a private fight vs. Jeffries. There is little point in me shaming you further until you supply me with the answers for my questions.

                      END.
