Dude, how many times do I have to tell you to go away? Do your own fufvvcking research. I'm not here to do your research for you. You just presented some information here a minute ago, so I'm assuming you know that to be correct based on the sources you have. Post up the sources. If you don't have them, go find them. They have been posted on the board before because you said you got them from me. So they should be still here. ****ing do the digging yourself.

Can that be any more clear?

But you said that Jeffries claimed he 'could never beat JJ' -- and I agreed.

I agreed because I read the article you posted. So you definitely have the article at your fingertips. I don't!

I only have access to the NYTimes.

My conjecture may well be wrong. I need to see the article again. I have no clue where you got it from. That's why I am asking for the citation.

Now you know the article I am talking about because you used it to show what Jeffries said (which I agree, Jeffries said it) I just want to reexamine the context.

Jeffries said detail if he was younger he would have won to the press at hand. See the San Francisco chronicle It has been posted here before. Unlike Mr. do your own research, it is reliable quote with context, depth, and a person recording it!

I'll tell you one more time and for the final time. If you saw it from me, it was posted here. Go find it yourself.

You claimed no one could find a source for that quotation. We found several

Is that what makes you so upset? Don't worry. I think Johnson held back just a little. lol

Yea I remember reading that as well.

But T does have an article where Jeffries certainly sounds like he is saying 'never would have happened.'

Fighters often change their story/what they actually believe. That is common throughout the history of the game.

What I am trying to find out is how spontaneous his 'never could have' remark was.

Spontaneous remarks can often ring more true than ones thought through.

I think, I remember, his (Jeffries) statement was made on the train ride home (I think it has been over a year since T last posted the article and I'm old so I'm not sure of my memory.), I would like to see its context again.

I am ready to change my opinion on this topic.

I still wish we could create a timeline we can agree on and then evaluate the ducking issue.

T won't post / does not have the article. That is funny. It was hearsay and should not be taken seriously. Jeff's comment that he was too old and the eye could see the openings but the body as slow. If he was younger he would have won. He said this to the press. The train story was made up.
                  GhostofDempsey GhostofDempsey likes this.

Bullshlt. The article was posted here previously and we all saw it. I think I even made a thread about it. You are flat out lying because I know you saw it too. I could easily post it again, but I'll let you clowns do your own research

I did not say that I did not see it, I said the article wasn't yours and you don't have access to it.
