    Was Hopkins An ATG?

Does anybody here think Hopkins was an all time great? Does anybody here think he was not?

All time great middleweight. He spent 8 years as either the number one middle, tile holder or unified champion. His record for title defenses tops the division. He was boring though.

I thought it was 10 years after he won his first middleweight title.

I think his loss to the "common man" lost him that status. Nash out

Was also impressive that he moved up by two divisions and dominated the top guy at the time at that weight.

Who would beat him is only part of the equation of ATG. Throw it in with along with comp, longrvity, consistrncy, and anything else that is relevant.

              1 Robinson
              2 Hagler
              3 Greb
              4 Monzon
              5 Walker

              8 Cerdan
              9 Fitzsimmons
              10 Jones
              11 Gibbins
              12 Langford
              13 Ketchel
              14 Hearns
              15 Fullmer
              16 Bevenuti
              17 Valdez
              18 Nunn
              19 Toney
              20 Flowers
              21 Hopkins

Hopkins almost makes the top 20 in terms of who beats who on my list. I will factor that in.

How could you possibly have Nunn, Toney and Valdez above Hopkins at Middleweight?

                    You're answering a question with a demand.

How could you possibly rank those 3 fighters above Hopkins at Middleweight?

None of the 3 are even close to ATG Middleweights.
