Vitali Klitschko, the last great heavyweight

It's a very thin resume and one that does not deserve the adjective great attached to it imo, which is a pity because he would probably have beaten many of those 28 names he so scrupulously avoided.
Unfortunately for his legacy ,you don't get greatness conferred on you for what might have been, but only for what actually was.
Anyway we have established Vitali fought and beat 7 Ring ranked men,and lost to 2 others.
AJ now has 4 ,and right now nobody is thinking in terms of greatness as far as he is concerned.Last edited by Ivich; 02-10-2023, 09:18 AM.Comment

Chuvalo 65, no5
Machen 64. no6
Johansson61. no1.
Johansson 60.Champ
Harris 58 . no4
Jackson 57 . no1
Jackson56 . no3
Moore 56. no1
9 Contenders! =2 More than Vitali !
Patterson is often castigated for avoiding contenders, yet he beat 3 number 1 contenders, I number3 contender,2 number 4,
1 number 5, 1 number 6, and 2 heavyweight champions.
That's a damn sight better resume than Vitalis!
NB I might be old but, unlike yourself I can both read and write! lolLast edited by Ivich; 02-10-2023, 06:51 AM.Comment

Look, I want to see Z proven wrong as much as you do (well, probably not quite as much!) - but can't we at least play fair, and do it the right way?Comment

If Cliff said it it’s probably true.
I believe he writes for The Ring magazine or did.
He’s really good with those rankings, if he’s saying they’re ranked there then chances are they probably are.
He has an account on here I don’t know how to tag people, I believe his name is “Crold”
Would to great for him to clarify.
Cliff has been in threads like this before, but last time he was, a poster trolled him hard and questioned his journalistic research to a degree so that he left. I don't know if he will try getting in here again.Last edited by BattlingNelson; 02-10-2023, 07:59 AM.Comment

That was never the bet you scrub. The bet was 10 fighters who beat more Ring ranked opponents than Vits. It was easily done, yet here you are. Tsk, tsk, tsk.Comment
