But while we're on the topic why did Vits fight so few eastern europeans? I mean since this is such an important aspect to you you must surely have an answer.
You tell me how many Eastern Europeans Vitali fought? Hint for you is it a lot more than Louis. Two were given title shots by Vitali, one of the being ring magazine ranked at #2. Others were fought, but you have to who they were.

CBZ says it was an official fight,Richard Bak Louis' biographer agrees, and so does Joe Louis, that good enough for me! You accused Louis of lying before so I'm not surprised at your reaction.

How many Eastern European heavyweights were around when Louis was active? lol
          Louis fought
          2 Argentinians
          1 Cuban
          1 Spaniard
          .2 Germans
          1 Italian.

Name an Eastern European heavyweight he ducked?

Where did I accuse Louis of lying? You are the liar, that is known. Quote me in full context of what I said here.

Oh is you are using the CBZ huh? You have called them junk in the past and they are wrong and their information in this cases in-accurate. Box rec does not list it to be a professional fight nor does Wikipedia. Both sources are updated by historians.

            Again talk about double standards.

You said Louis lied about thinking he won he first Walcott fight, both on here and on Classic, that was as well as saying he was mobbed up and had the benefit of crooked officials.

You like to quote the IBHOF when it suits, you well read this!
              Joe Louis
1935 April 25th Flint Michigan won ko 6 Roscoe Toles
The Boxing Register IBHOF Official Record Book.

                • We Americans consider Poland Eastern Europe. Anything east of East Germany (or any part of the Soviet empire) was eastern Europe to us.

Not that that matters. There were no eastern Europeans in the fight game during those years.

In my experience Americans usually have a fairly hazy idea about geography.

I see 5. And the number 2 you're talking about was a lightheavyweight that was practically shut out by Chad Dawson. Why didn't Vits fight Maskaev, Sultan or Timur Ibragimov, Chagaev, Valuev, Dimetrenko, Boystov, Pulev or Povetkin? He seems to have missed a lot of guys who were rated during that era.....and that just the eastern europeans that make up roughly 30% of the 28 Ring rated top 10 contenders Vits somehow didn't fight. Bottom line is he didn't fight a lot of good eastern europeans in comparison to what he did fight. I think it funny you give him a pass for this but will rag on Louis for not fighting a few Black fighters but instead fighting higher ranked competition.
