Where did I make up a fantasy fight? I think it's a very close comparison between the two. I don't however think many see it that way because they do t dig deep enough and only judging g on Foremans win over Moorer.
Here Queenie, I looked this up for you. Seek help.

The only thing they have in common besides their ages is George was always ranked and making gobs of $$$$ winning legit titles when he was fighting and Lar weren't ever doing any of those things at any point in his career.

That's a fair point. How do you think Holmes would have done against Moorer that night? I think he would have had a very good shot at beating Moorer.
As far as HOlmes beating Moorer? I tend to think the Michael Moorer that showed up that night was ready to fight and was probably closer to Michael Spinks with respect to boxing skills than someone who got lucky. Holmes could have done it but I don't think he would have.Last edited by billeau2; 06-25-2022, 01:04 PM.Willow The Wisp likes this.

As far as second career wins go, an analogy might well suffice: If we are comparing jones and mayweather we can always point to Roy's wins over fellow ATG level guys, like Toney... its a big point in Jones favor. It is a similar point to me. Michael M to some was a top light heavy and was able to win against a fighter considered a great heavy by some. This is just a level above when we compare wins for the two... I don't even care so much about the title... although that also is relevant.

- - Poor Lar couldn't even get by the crack addled, mentally unstable Ollie who half the time didn't know where he was in the ring and what he was supposed to be doing.
Moorer was no joke and would've knocked out Lar posthaste.billeau2 likes this.
