    1. Fury is confirmed as a top tier ATG
    2. Fury is moved up to the top tier of ATGs
    3. Fury is left in a position of uncertainty regarding being a top tier ATG
    4. Fury is reduced to a second tier fighter
    5. Fury is exposed; thought a flash in the pan and dismissed.
    Basic possible outcomes . . .
    • Fury stops Whyte in under five rounds
    • Fury stops Whyte in the late rounds of a combative fight
    • Fury wins by UD
    • Fury wins or loses a controversial decision
    • Fury loses a UD
    • Fury gets stopped.
IYO Which scenario begats which placement?

P.S. This does not mean Fury's all time legacy is being decided - only his placement after this fight. His next fight might/can/will change it all again.
You need the slow, all encompassing shining light of history to answer these questions. Thats why Fury does not get discussed historically yet. Among the questions asked will be questions like: How good was Wider? how dominant where Fury's performances? and finally and most important: for the Queen B: Could Fury have lasted half a round with the great Valuev? or Wilt the Stilt? provided Wilt was trained properly by Cus?

Yes for legacy - but I was asking more about where posters would put him on their top ten lists today.

Even though Whyte was the local boy, the crowd were 90% for Fury.

But now with the War, when they finally do (if they) meet there will be qualifications.

AJ needs to move on and KO someone. No sense in waiting.
They have signed to fight this summer in July.I think it will be in Dubai.

This thread is a nicely crafted Question. Now in retrospect it is safe to say that both Fury and Wilder, who fought each other to a standstill with Tyson coming out on top ala Ali over Frazier; are head & shoulders above the Joshua's, Whyte's, Ortiz's & Parker's of the world. The simple dismissal of Whyte, who many thought might be trouble for Fury, was another big rock on the scale of assigning greatness for Fury. Always some silly opinion attracted to a thread. To be clear, this is NOT a weak heavyweight division. Its a strong one.

Whyte came in 6 lbs heavier than he did for Povetkin and after 3 rds he had run out of ideas and was running out of gas .His punches were slow and telegraphed ,and his feet moved as though they were in concrete. He looked terrible imo,Not a great fight but a good stoppage by Fury, though we could have done without the push after the uppercut.

Lets see how Fury handles the winner of Joshua v Usyk.It wasn't so long ago posters were calling Kovalev great.

100% correct. Prime Fury is the best and there is no argument. Nash out - boxing expert.

Nash has Fury as the greatest of all time, and as a boxing expert, Nash's view certainly holds a lot of value. Nash out.
