    - - Thanks for reminding us that Wlad, without throwing a punch, melted the drug disgraced Fury into mental illness so terrifying he couldn't show up at the contracted rematch scratch line for a rematch.

What, behind Iron ****e Tyson and the like? Laughable. Prime Mike got outboxed then bustered up by D Level Douglas. Even Holyfield, as a HW was just a journeyman, barely won more than he lost at HW.

The likes of Marciano would be fighting at LHW, and the Ali era, the man who beat Ali 3 times, Ken Norton, would be no more than a solid contender these days. I've seen all these guys, tons of times, good fighters, but for ****s sake, a few chumps here need to put down their nostalgic glasses and enter reality. Stop living in fantasy land, guys.

P.S. Willie Pep, Nash has sent has a nice email to your mother asking her if she would let you put your Tyson Fury poster back up. You told me she made you pull it down and I know that was the pride of your room, so hopefully you can get it back up again. Fury does not have the depth of resume to be considered an ATG at the moment Old Wlad,OneTrick Pony Wilder ,and Gate Keeper Chisora doesn't cut it. And beating Whyte won't either. imo.

Even if he ****s Whyte out in dominate style?

This is the time for Fury to Wow us if he wants a legacy that will live on.

P.S. Are you in the cheap seats? Lol can't imagine how much ringside seats must be going for.

You're six hours ahead of us sun wise so it must be getting close to late afternoon.

          Enjoy! Take pic!

You do realise what you did with that can be done with any fighter, yeah! Tyson beat old Holmes, LHW Spinks. Ali beat ancient (up to 45 apparently) Liston, tiny Frazier, slow, plodding Foreman, lost 3x to basic Ken Norton. Lewis - beat the shell of Tyson, CW Holyfield, Vitali via injury when losing clearly, robbery draw in his prime with well past his best Mercer. Can do this with anyone. Nash out.

Tyson beat many ranked contenders and several champions.Spinks was not a LHVy when he fought Holmes and his last few fights had been at heavyweight. Ali has the deepest resume of any heayweight champion.Lewis has a great resume.Holyfield was a ranked heavyweight for over 12 years! He ducked nobody!Sorry this is not even remotely convincing.

I agree with what you are implying, but that doesn't seem to matter for those who just look at resume. How you win is the eye test; and for those who just want to measure resume that doesnt matter.

This happens a lot with boxing, especially when we analyze the past with rose-colored-glasses. We tend to look at things with a positive-sum-game, especially with fighters who beat each other:
Fighter-A is great, I know this because he once beat Fighter-B who is also great. How do I know Fighter-B is great, he once beat Fighter-A.

It is an insulated, circular logic, that few question; you get one win against a great fighter and then from then on out anyone who beats you also becomes great. Sadly, people will also do the opposite, a negative sum game, towards eras they want to diminish- Fighter-A lost to Fighter-B, ergo he could never be great.

And thats not saying I agree with your specific examples completely, but said biases could be used with them.
