Lets have some fun with Buster Douglas... The night he fought Tyson, how hard would he be to beat?

That is why I have always been an advocate of jury nullification, even when it goes against my own grain of thought.

Don King was a predator. It's like the frog and scorpion story, it is his nature - every fighter he abused he first seduced with the lure of more money or played the race card.

But none of this applies to whether Douglas picked himself off the deck and was ready to keep fighting, he was, Tyson wasn't.
      - -Leading question illegal in US Courts because it presumes a preexistence of unproven fact, ie, when did you stop beating on girls?

Point being the ref unnecessarily created a controversy by his incompetence, or was it deliberate? The other thing I pointed out was neither Tyson nor his clown corner were fit for the farce of the fight. What if he were to suddenly show up on Zoloft in Vegas under BALCOVADA testing? He wouldn't be allowed to fight any more than if he showed up drunk.

As Sir 'Enery once pointed out when Dundee hijinx delayed the start of the next round after 'Enery knocked the 7 bells out of young Clay the round before, paraphrased, "Give a young fit fighter extra time and he recovers quickly."

Look at the scoring. I had Tyson losing every round save the round before the KD, and now after near 40 fights at the top level, I mean no heavy champ was ever brought along quicker than Tyson, maybe he lost a handful of rounds, and all of a sudden he's dropping every round to the underdog of the century?

Well, that was my scoring. Official scoring was a split draw at the stoppage. It was almost as much farce as Ali/Liston rematch. Walcott never reffed another fight, and so Octavio disappears into Mexico to never be seen again...The End...

Tyson was accused hundreds of times by women, I've lost count. I don't remember Tyson ever showing signs of worry for these kinds of problem, which he always had (see Teddy Atlas threatening him with a gun...)

When one refers to "the **** allegations" in general concerning Tyson, Desiree Washington's case is what obviously comes to mind.

At any rate, all you said is correct and I agree upon most everything.

Interesting. You don't hear all that much about Tyson's ****y-nature aside from the conviction and Teddy's niece.

BTW You are allowed to ask leading questions on cross examination, in fact all questions on cross are expected to be leading - so consider yourself being crossed.

"Have you stopped beating your wife" is NOT considered a leading question but instead is called a LOADED QUESTION.

A loaded question can't be properly answered with a 'yes' or 'no' reply - on the other hand my question could be properly answered with a yes or no so therefore it is not a loaded question.

An example of a leading question would be: "When you approached the cross street you didn't see the stop sign, isn't that true?

P.S. It is on direct examination where a lawyer may not lead a witness (unless the lawyer can convince the judge that his witness is being uncooperative [hostile] then a lawyer may 'lead' his own witness as well.)

            - -Never heard of a loaded question, but then much of my legal training was Perry Mason who was big on getting leading questions dismissed.

All the years I was called for jury duty I was never picked because I always had experience in whatever was being disputed. The jury selected was mostly elderly, primarily women that I guess both the prosecution and defense saw they could persuade easiest. Same logic used by muggers...think about it...
