Thats my take... We don't know about that uppercut that caught him, was it a good punch? was Douglas just chinny?

Put it this way, if even the worst Tyson can knock down and almost beat an unusually inspired Douglas, most definitely Liston, Klitschko, Foreman and who knows how many others are capable of defeating him.

Reading the thread it seems people are not convinced of the total package that was Douglas that evening... Some even made reference to his former fights... He looked amazing to me that night. Could have been that Tyson was so lacking... I always thought he looked fantastic, like Ali possesed him for the evening lol.

Look at Tyson's back in that fight. It lacked definition, was flabby. Here's why Douglas looked great that night. Tyson had not trained.

In the next fight, Holyfield hit Douglas with a good punch - not a particularly hard one - and Buster went down, thought about the millions he had put in the bank for that fight, and said goodnight everybody.

As I said, he was winning without question. Still, as soon as he started to get hit seriously he lost any will to fight on. Look at his lack of reaction as the fight is stopped. Absolute lack of character, if you ask me.
              - -Douglas supposed to cry?

              KO the ref?

              Kick a ring gal?

No, just show some sign of life. As soon as he got hit, nite all. Like he did with Holyfield.

I'd say a 50-50 fight with Dave Allen. Nash out.

I can see all of them, from John L. Sullivan to Tyson Fury, having a hell in the ring with the Buster of that specific night.
