While you can argue whether De La Hoya was an ATG at Welterweight I don't think it's even remotely arguable that Duran wasn't a top 3 ATG at Lightweight: Many, in fact, rate him the best ever at Lightweight. Duran routinely makes people's top 10 p4p all-time lists while De La Hoya rarely makes people's top 100.

Use the search function and research the posts on De La Hoya. I hazard you will find that a very sizable percentage of posters would deny Oscar is an ATG at ANY weight let alone a p4p great. I don't agree with them but there's no denying that Oscar's greatness has come into question whereas Duran's has not.

I can agree with that: I rank Hagler #3 at Middleweight and Hopkins #5. I can't imagine any match between them where either would have it all his way nor could I imagine either being swept if they fought a 10 fight series.

When most people talk about ATG...their list isn't running to 100. The average I would say when the term is used loosely would be top 50. In all honesty 99% of people that know boxing don't have a clue who makes their 75-100.

Duran would put Mosley to sleep @ 135. People say Mosley was physically strong at 135? The only time I truely noticed Mosleys strength was when he moved up....and started taking steroids. We're not talking about roided Mosley here, we're talking about the natural Prime Mosley vs Prime Duran. Duran is stronger, hits harder and has amazing defence.

Also, who the hell did Mosley actually beat at Lightweight worthy of note to even put him in the same class as Duran? err...Philip Holiday and Eduardo Morales? lol. Duran beat Estaban De Jesus and Ken Buchanen....both of those fighters would have a very good chance at beating Mosley, infact I think Buchanen would beat Mosley. Sorry but if you think Mosley > Duran because he went up to 147-154, roided himself up and beat DLH/Margarito and Vargas (while losing to Winky 2x and Forrest 2x) you're sadly mistaken.

Does anyone here seriousy believe Mosley could go from 135 to 147 after 72 fights and beat an undefeated Leonard? LOL. no. That's not happening.

Duran puts Mosley to sleep, it'd be a great fight but eventually Duran would just be too much and Mosley would get knocked out.
