Duran vs Mosley 135

The most extreme case of Hopkins nuthuggery I've seen yet. And ofc the most idiotic.Back to the topic, I think Mosley was not as good as Duran at 135. He reached his prime at 147. All in all I think Duran is a greater fighter.

I'm sure Shane will resort to distancing himself, so that he'd load up on rights and left hooks and Duran not giving him any room. This will be a damn entertaining fight but I give Duran the edge.

Mosley's lack of height at Welterweight was a problem for him. He good be kept at bay with a jab from a guy that consistently moved backwards.

DLH and Mosley have a common opponent at 135 of note, John John Molina. Molina gave DLH HELL. Lederman actually scored the fight for Molina. Mosley destroyed Molina. The rough tactics that worked on the Golden Boy did nothing to Shane but motivate him.

His ability to take a punch goes a long way, but a short fighter that isn't fast and no longer can KO people like he did at LW is in for a lot of trouble. Mosley in his old age has just recently developed into a full sized natural Welterweight, so the power is finally there, evident in the Margarito fight. But when he first jumped to Welter...the guy's punching power clearly went down.Last edited by Benncollinsaad; 09-12-2009, 12:44 PM.

Anyways, I suspect a serious problem in most people's analysis of who beats who at LW. I think most people are comparing a WW Mosley to a LW Duran, and just assuming Mosley was the same fighter at LW. He was NOT the same fighter. The Mosley you saw against Margarito was the closest thing to a LW Mosley we have ever seen, and he only looked that good against Margarito because the man was tailor made for Mosley (Yes I'm aware he was the underdog, but I picked Mosley to beat him). Mosley specializes in beating Mexicans...it's most of the notable wins on his resume. Him being from LA has a lot to do with that.
