The answers to your redundant questions are all in our posts, from Johnson's short notice to come up with $30K, to then insisting any man who wants to fight him has to have $70K, to changing terms and conditions at the last hour like he did to McIntosh, to tearing up signed contracts to fight Langford knowing full well he was going to defeat little Tommy Burns. As well as other offers. You keep chasing your tail in circles and expect the rest of us to follow. Go back and read the HUNDREDS of posts you've made on these topics and stop freebasing your meds.

This is why I don't generally post in these threads... i read them, enjoy them to a degree, but ultimately I think delving into this whole quagmire is a historical undertaking... One needs to deconstruct so many different epistemological lines.... Im picturing Focault wondering what his take would be... Regionally in the country there were subcultures, and this is where a lot of boxing thrived... Take everyone's favorite object of scrutiny these days Dempsey... A man who grew up in such an environment that he could not legitimately believe he was better than others... I mean one can do things, put on airs, but when you are conditioned to believe you are nothing, there is a fatalistic impossability to deciding you are a superior race, creed lol. Tunney was insecure about this his entire life, trying to be Martin Edan,marrying up, but always that Irish kid who jumped off tankers to swimback onthe docks of the hudson.

People can become racists, but as to the "why" it becomes complicated and nuanced when this racism stems from a fellow climber... out of the crucible and into success.... hence, we have Irish and Black competition, antipathy in Boss Tweed's lower East Side... the war, etc. Yet these same competitors lived together in some of the closest quarters in history, danced together in the streets (the jig was Irish and African dance), and were neighbors.
