Tyson never got a gift decision, but he would probably of got one if the Douglas fight went the distance.
I agree it was not truly a robbery by any means (although it's the closest to a "gift" Tyson got which isn't much).

I do find it interesting that the bout would have been scored a draw had Tyson not knocked Tillis down in one of the rounds. He was probably winning that round up to that point.

So the Tillis fight was scored on the rounds system? Then the knockdown was irrelevent as it didn't factor into the scoring.

A knockdown wins a round even in round by round system. I believe Tillis was doing the better work in that round until being knocked down.

Two of the scorecards had the fight 6-4 and 6-4 in favour of Tyson.

Okay, fair enough! I had Tyson edging that round without the knockdown which is why I didn't see it making a difference. So the real question is how the two judges that had the fight as 6-4 would have scored that round if no knockdown had occured. If they favored Tyson in that round then the scorecards stay the same.

What i tend to do with KD's rounds is.............i score most of them 10/8 but if the guy who gets knocked down performs very well then i give it 10/9 but he must make a big effort to make it clear that despite getting dropped he still won the round, that is when i give a 10/9 round even with a KD.

That's pretty much what I do, especially if it's a flash knockdown. Too bad too many incompetant judges just reflexively give a 10-8 whenever one occurs. Those are the same idiots that don't seem to realize you can score a round 10-8 WITHOUT a knockdown.
