Why is Jack Johnson rated so high...

We do? I see proof of him fighting them before champion and attempting to fight them after he was champion. Actually, them be verifiable facts.
So hey, it is what it is!
As for Demps...before champ, after champ. nah. Not after those three ribs were cracked. That meant no more dark uns.Comment

That's not what I did at all. I said from your researched information. Anyone can click the link and see what it says. That's how the function works! If I wanted to be shady, I would have taken out the code that places the button there.
Wills side never dropped the ball. Dempsey never wanted to fight him period. We all know this. The man broke contracts to get away.
Was Sharkey the guy Dempsey beat with a low blow? Pretty sure it was. That was one of my favorite moments here. Houdini and I actually worked together to find out that the referee actually admit to the low blow.
Got Ko-d 1 also, didn't he? Hmmmm. If you laugh at Wills with his superior resume to Dempsey, then you must REALLY laugh at Dempsey. Tunney handled him pretty well after he made sure there would be no bicycle tape shenanigans.
Dempsey at least fought Tunney twice, and technically beat him on the long count fight, but Wills ducked him and played himself. KTFO any a journeyman. Lol.Comment

Before champion is meaningless. Especially since McVey was 19 years old with less than ten fights. Jeannette had less than twenty and wasn’t even undefeated. That’s awful. Langford was 156 pounds. Jack ducked them as champ so he make a paltry $1,000 fighting the man Jeannette beat twice that year. Wow, just wow! Bet you’re sorry you posted that article revealing Johnson’s purse for that one, LMAO!
Do you just ignore things to help yourself feel better?
Johnson gave Langford a terrible beating. Dempsey, on the other hand, wouldn't go near any version of Langford. Again. Fact.
If you think I feel sorry about posting something that proved Johnson wasn't going to get the money you claimed he could have gotten, then you're not very brightComment

Sorry. Wills was too busy waiting for Dempsey to grow a pair. When he offered the fight to Tunney, Tunney declined because he didn't want to fight in an outdoor stadium. Sorry.
Don't be disrespectful to Wills. I mean Dempsey got scared off from fighting an entire race of people because one "journeyman" broke three of his ribs.Comment

Nope. That was you flipping back and forth. You brought up Shelby when I was discussing Farley's quotations from 1926
What I know about you is that you are sincerely hurt that Dempsey ducked Harry Wills. I'm a little concerned that if I keep doing this to you, you might want to harm yourself. Y
ou won't, will you? Seriously. I don't want it to go that far, but I can tell this will leave some deep scars.
I now suspect that you can't even name or separate the key players from the two key periods regarding Wills, 1922 and 1926.
Such things as back stories, motivations, and social temperament are far beyond you capability.
I'm glad you think you won. Whatever gets you through the night, it's alright.Comment

You know little to nothing about this era.

Tell us all you knew about Fitz before I told you about what happened. You didn't even know about the contract, fool. You came in trying to repeat the story of the contract one day here after I told you about it, and you had all the details wrong and I had to correct you
I'm like your father here, and you're ungrateful because I told you Santa Claus isn't real. Get a grip on reality, son
Oh...and weren't you the guy who made an entire thread claiming Wills ducked Dempsey and I had you eat your words
Do you want me to go find the thread? I can do that if you'd like. LMAO. You really thought you had something and you were so proud of yourself until I posted there and made you realize that you know nothing.Last edited by travestyny; 04-16-2022, 06:06 PM.Comment

LMAO. Yea ok. Was that the fake contract fiasco that Clompton told us all about?
Sorry. Wills was too busy waiting for Dempsey to grow a pair. When he offered the fight to Tunney, Tunney declined because he didn't want to fight in an outdoor stadium. Sorry.

At least Dempsey was still green coming into the fight with Lester. No shame in having tough fights in your third year as a pro.
Wills got KTFO by Cotton, who Johnson also ducked. Johnson got KTFO by Choynski and worked over by O’Brien. He didn’t even offer O’Brien and Ross real title shots, the title was only on the line if they could win by KO, talk about a rigged game.
Still can’t get over Johnson settling for a paltry $1K while ducking Jeannette. Pathetic.Comment
