What we knew at the end of that fight (and the beginning of the end of Taylor's career) is that Chavez won EVERY round.

It was in the end one of the all time beat downs; Chavez broke Taylor's with less punches thrown, less punches landed.

But you missed it because you (and Harold 'the idiot' Letterman) were too busy counting Taylor's amateur ineffective punches.

Make up any numbers you like the LOGIC doesn't change, are the punches having an effect? If not, they're meaningless.

This is prize fighting not a boxing match.

I never said that - you just offered an unrealistic scenario - if you want to make an argument it has to stay reasonable.

I managed to watch only the 1st round of this fight, and turned it off because it looked so boring.. anybody else thought the same on this fight in 97?

it was fun watching whitakers skills and oscar flail away. I think it was a draw. But whitaker was smaller and a bit worn from the nose beers so

oscar, like every amateur styled fighter, hates head movement. They only train to hit stationary targets its seems. And when they stand still thats when they throw 30 thoughtless punches

He was not an exciting fighter to watch at all. Unlike his upgraded, more recent version, Floyd Mayweather, who was firework to watch and must view, hence, his PPV numbers.

As for this fight, of course Whittaker won. Oscar De La Fishnets lost every hard fight he ever had, and also one of his easy ones in Felix Sturm. Golden Boy was overhyped. Now he is living in the shadow, and jealously throwing shade at a real all time great in Ginger Boy, Canelo, Viva La Mexico, would would have destroyed Fishnets in 2 Rounds. Feather-fisted Bernard Hopkins broke Fishnets in half, never mind the Iron Fist of Canelo. Nash out.
