    - -Only good fight I saw Pea in was vs Uncle Roger Mayweather and it was a great one.

Pea was a poser/stinker. Anyone who knows boxing knows after a flashy beginning he was soon owned and running on fumes early in the first JL Ramirez fight, repeatedly circling into stiff left hooks to the liver. Either Duva was too ****** to correct him or Pea was too ****** to do anything about it or more probably a combination of both. He was a stinker vs Oscar who was the only one attempting to fight and throwing the punches. He had a greatly bloated Chavez above his weight class ready for the picking, instead choosing to clown the great Mexican fighter in front of his fans who were paying top $$$ that supported Pea's purse instead of doing a **** up professional job.

How rich it was that a top journeyman Frankie Randall got to be the first to beat Chavez up. Coked up Pea just a flashier, more talented version of the ******* addled WBA heavy champs of the 80s

He absolutely boxed Ramirez ears off in their first fight in one of the worst robberies ever.

        - -If Duva thought Pea could beat a prime Chavez, they would've fought. Instead Taylor became the sacrifice as it turned out.

Maybe you could do a fight by fight breakdown since that works so well in determining greatness?

I'm just messing around. I believe Pea was jobbed out of an earlier Chavez fight because of the terrible decision in the first Ramirez fight. Though there is no proof of corruption it is well known the WBC wanted an all Mexican unification fight.

This is prize fighting not amateur boxing. You have to land meaningfully punches, Pee Wee landed meaningless punches and made his opponent 'look amateurish' by wiggling his ass, sticking out his tongue, and jumping around, for the most part, avoiding getting into an actual fight. You can always make your opponent look bad if you never intend to actually engage him. Pee Wee mastered moving away from, and grabbing his opponents.

If you're impressed by flashy pitty pat punches and mugging for the camera, you're correct Pee Wee won the show.

            Lost the fight though.

Sounds like Anorak when he wants to get a man's attention.

                - -Suggest a true masterclass comparison is Camacho vs primage age JLRamirez. The masterclass category falls way short of the number Macho did on him. Then go to Pea vs an aging JLR where Pea starts off with ama French flash in the pan to end up sautéed appetizer.

You still have to land more punches. So, if one guy lands 3 punches and the other 20 punches in a round and the 3 are harder and considered more meaningful, then the guy that lander way more punches should lose the round, I guess. See how illogical that thinking is? If the numbers are a lot closer, I could see the judges maybe going for harder punches landed. Otherwise, you go for more landed if it's obvious.

Whitaker had a very negative style. Judges and fans alike were far less forgiving to these devious boring tactics back then.

Whitaker did himself no favours when it came to point decisions. Maybe if he fought with more courage scorecards would have been kinder to him.

                      No I don't !

                      Chavez-Taylor I

What we knew at the end of that fight (and the beginning of the end of Taylor's career) is that Chavez won EVERY round.

It was in the end one of the all time beat downs; Chavez broke Taylor's with less punches thrown, less punches landed.

But you missed it because you (and Harold 'the idiot' Letterman) were too busy counting Taylor's amateur ineffective punches.

Make up any numbers you like the LOGIC doesn't change, are the punches having an effect? If not, they're meaningless.

This is prize fighting not a boxing match.
