For sure he would have been a multi-weight champion, dude was a beautiful fighter with a mean streak as well.
Pat Ford and Pat Cowdell beat Sanchez and showed how ordinary he really was.

Pacman knocks out this over glorified fool.

The Gomez Sanchez fought was old flabby and sick.
Pacman massacres that Gomez in under 3 rounds.

With Sanchez being currently dead I expect he would fade in the late rounds; Pac by UD.

This belongs in Fantasy Fights not here.

so this fight happens at 126. I consider Pacquiao a great 126 lb fighters, so its not an easy fight. Sanchez is the better fighter though, less one dimensional.

He beat both Ford and Cowdell. They did well, but he def beat them both. I dont see those as being that contraversial. He damn near stopped Cowdell.

Both robberies. You are just a biased hater.

Lets look at pac against other great Mexican fighters and lets look at the difference. Pac fought plenty of great Mexican fighters, and he was competative. But Sanchez had more... he was a natural talent, as technically accomplished as Marquez, with the power of Morales, and the tenacity of Barrera.

Pac might do well with his speed for at least a while, but he comes in strictly off one line. In fact Pac fights a lot like a Thai Fighter in the sense that he does not use angels. Marquez Ko'ed him stepping off Pac's attack line. Not a good look considering that Sanchez had more power, in both hands. I don't see him beating Sanchez.

Pacquaio's speed would be the difference.

If a green Azumah Nelson, who was definitely slower than Pacman, gave Sanchez all he could handle, I can envisage Manny overwhelming Salvador at one point.

That would have been a fantastic fight, though.

                  - -Sal a great enough fighter to win a fight, but not by U demonstrated idiocy.

Each would be the best fighter each ever fought, and at age 23 PAC as a super bantam champ would actually be the bigger fighter on the night of the fight. That's something we never saw with Sal because of premature death.

I see him has compiling a better career record by age 23 than SRL had for his much longer career.

Tough to beat a record like that, but if one had been chosen by the heavens to beat him, enter Manny as his unparalleled force of one never witnessed before.

Fight of the year! Both guys were very active, Sanchez the better counter puncher, Pac has the edge on hand speed and power.

I'd go with Sal here, even though he had a lot to prove. His career was cut short via fatal car accident. The wreck was so bad, they had to identify him by the ***elry he was wearing.

Idiocy? Like the generalizations you claim? What does it mean the best fighter ever fought? why? what qualities, what technical means? And now you become the resident size queen? Who knew?

****** post, unless you can specifically tell us why size would benefit one man, and what qualities (the best) make the fight a certain way.

I will say it again: Manny is truly great. his footspeed is incredible. But he comes in direct... His point of entry is a line, it is right out in front. From a technical stand point we see proof of how this creates problems for him, when we see how well Marquez has done. Proof right?

Marquez is a great, technically accomplished fighter, maybe even someone to consider as a great fighter... But he is no Sanchez. Sanchez was faster, stronger, as technically accomplished.
