  • Worst Heavyweight

Worst Heavyweight champ was John Ruiz. The bum just held and clutched his way to horrible decision after another. He got his ass kicked by two middleweight(Toney and Jones). One God awful fighter!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Most of them were not even proper champions, in the true sense of the word: linear/undisputed. The worst of that lot would be Canera and marciano the overrated bum. And no, I don't have anything against pizza and pasta i eat both every week.

Yes I do. he only did them things coz the 50s were full of bums. He retired early and never came back to avoid being knocked out. he struggled against old men and is overrated as overrated can be. Rafa benitez was right in his thread. he knows his **** and is a tactical genius as we saw in the past weekend.

Unwatchable, undoubtably yes. Worst? No way. He had some wins over legitimate names regardless of the tactics he used to earn them. Those tactics may have been an estetic nightmare but they won for him and the name of the game, ultimately, is winning NOT entertainment. Entertainment and $3.00 gets you a cup of coffee at Starbucks: It also makes you Arturo Gatti, entertaining and incapable of beating a world-class opponent.

Why don't you tell me then how great Tyson and Larry Holmes era's were then as I would bet anything you rate both very highly.

You say he retired early and didn't come back to avoid being knocked out. The facts are he cleaned out the division. Who was going to knock him out, who was he avoiding? Go ahead and say Liston so I can laugh you off these boards.

You say he struggled with "old men", yet he never lost to any of those all time greats, er, old men..

Rafa Benitez was a moron who was destroyed on his own thread and than banned. He's been back with several alts only to be whomped on again like you are being right now.

You don't have to have Marciano in your top ten. But to call him one of the worst? You gotta be an idiot.

He was one of the worst from the proper champions. I don;t count people who won a belt, just linear and undisputed champions. He is way overrated and I know for a fact that you are white. Marciano got schooled by an old man and then got in a lucky punch, then hit a man while he was down. Roy gets disqualified for that **** but he was white so got congratulated instead. As for Dr Rafa benitez, the man won a Champions League trophy in his first 10 months on the job so he is obviously a genius. he got his doctorate for applying scientific methods in sport.

Can someone who speaks spanish please translate what Rafa says at the end? YNWA

This is why you're a joke. You provide nothing but conjecture and half assed opinion. Fighters like Ali, Joe Louis and Mike Tyson ALL considered Marciano great, but hey, what would they know, right?

By the way, nice of you to duck the question of Holmes ande Tysons era's. Too bad, I was looking forward to making more of a laughing stock out of you.

Tell me, how do you know for a FACT that I am white? This should be entertaining!

Why don't you explain what a lucky punch is. Because the way I see it is if you are trying to hit somebody and the punch lands, there is nothing lucky about it. Live with it, son.

Stop getting so indignant with "because he was white" crap. Neither should have been disqualified. **** happens in the heat of battle. The difference is, Walcott was out from the right hand. He wasn't getting back up before being hit with the left (by the way, its hysterical how you call that punch lucky, lol). Griffin might have gotten back up but left the ref no choice when he flopped like a ***** and acted his way to a W. So please, spare us with the "why always me" rhetoric.

I could care less about your little video. Im talking about the clown who posted under that screen name and was banned time and again. The same one YOU mentioned from another thread. Do you remember that or should I re-post the quote? I highly doubt any man of any kind of prestige is going to get himself thrown off of this site not once, but numorous times.

Now go do that comparison between Marciano's era and that of Holmes and Tyson. I need a good laugh today.

                    • Funny, but it seems Im not the only one who thinks Marciano is one of history's best. But hell what would these guys know, they're just experts who have studied boxings history for years on end. Pfff!!
