Hell, I see a new guy calling John Ruiz the worst in history. Hit me up DeadBird if you want to argue that.Last edited by Deadbirds; 10-30-2008, 10:06 PM.

I can think of a lot of guys who held straps that aren't nearly as accomplished as Ruiz.
1. This is actually a weak division and it has been since Lewis left it !
2. Ruiz really hasn't won a significat fight !
3. He beat a past his prime Holyfeild and lost to a past his prime Holyfeild ! and had a draw with old Holyfeild ! we all know Holy was damaged goods !
4. Tua = 19 secs.
5. It's pretty sad when a light heavyweight knows he can beat you ! basically it was an easy way for RJJ to make history ! Rjj made him look silly !
6. Toney (rollie pollie) beat him easily !
7. I honestly can't give him any credit ! Twice he won fights faking low blows !
8. He lost to someone slower than him twice (Valuev)
In all honesty he is considered a joke !

True. But Roy is probably one of the 25 greatest fighters to ever lace up the gloves. He could have beat a number of titlists on that night.

How do you know he was faking?

Im no real fan of Ruiz, but I do think he gets more flak than he deserves. Like I said, there have been plenty of other heavyweight titlists that were much less distinguised in their careers than John Ruiz.

But personally I think Marcianos era was slightly better ! As for one of the worst ! Actually Seldom comes to mind ! The guy got KO'd in one round by Bowe and his fight with Tyson was a shame ! Who did he ever fight besides those two ? I can't remember but who or how did he even get the title ?

Seldon, though talented, is probably my least favorite fighter ever because of the Tyson debacle.
