Hell, I see a new guy calling John Ruiz the worst in history. Hit me up DeadBird if you want to argue that.
he was the worst ever beaus he beat every man he faced and was only KD for a total of 3 secounds in his career against the likes of Walcott and Moorer who has the most KOs ever thats just the begining of why he Flat out Sucks LOL

Whats there to argue about ? I don't think Marciano was a bad champ ! Actually I have him around 8 - 10 ! Now if you consider Marciano a bum or overrated I can give my reasons why I have him where I do !

He did suck to watch, but he was a better titlist than many guys who have held belts through out history. He's beaten some decent fighters and has been a titlist or top 10 ranked fighter for the better part of ten years. I can think of a lot of guys who held straps that aren't nearly as accomplished as Ruiz.

You might have a point ! maybe Carnara maybe worst ! But this our my points that I see when I see Ruiz and the situation !

              1. This is actually a weak division and it has been since Lewis left it !
              2. Ruiz really hasn't won a significat fight !
              3. He beat a past his prime Holyfeild and lost to a past his prime Holyfeild ! and had a draw with old Holyfeild ! we all know Holy was damaged goods !
              4. Tua = 19 secs.
              5. It's pretty sad when a light heavyweight knows he can beat you ! basically it was an easy way for RJJ to make history ! Rjj made him look silly !
              6. Toney (rollie pollie) beat him easily !
              7. I honestly can't give him any credit ! Twice he won fights faking low blows !
              8. He lost to someone slower than him twice (Valuev)

In all honesty he is considered a joke !

True. But we can't blame Ruiz for that anymore than we can blame Marciano for the era he fought in.

                2. Ruiz really hasn't won a significat fight !
Many guys who have held titles never really won a significant fight in a historical sense. But he has still had some decent wins in his career.

                3. He beat a past his prime Holyfeild and lost to a past his prime Holyfeild ! and had a draw with old Holyfeild ! we all know Holy was damaged goods !
Yeah he was probably damaged goods at that point. But he was still a legend that nobody gave Ruiz a shot against. Less than a year and a half before his second fight with Ruiz, Evander fought Lewis a second time in a fight that many thought he won.

                4. Tua = 19 secs.
That means little in my opinion. He was a prospect and got caught by a huge puncher. It happens.

True. But Roy is probably one of the 25 greatest fighters to ever lace up the gloves. He could have beat a number of titlists on that night.

                6. Toney (rollie pollie) beat him easily !
Toney has shown he is more than capable of being competitive in the heavyweight division. He was also aided by steroids.

                7. I honestly can't give him any credit ! Twice he won fights faking low blows !

How do you know he was faking?

                8. He lost to someone slower than him twice (Valuev)
Slower, but also a foot taller and nearly 100lbs heavier. The first fight was very close with many believing that Ruiz deserved the decision.

In all honesty he is considered a joke !
He is, but undeservedly so. Its much more because of his less than pleasing style than it is his accomplishments.

Im no real fan of Ruiz, but I do think he gets more flak than he deserves. Like I said, there have been plenty of other heavyweight titlists that were much less distinguised in their careers than John Ruiz.

You prove some good points ! And the more I thought about ! Your right there are some worst heavyweights ! But personally I think Marcianos era was slightly better ! As for one of the worst ! Actually Seldom comes to mind ! The guy got KO'd in one round by Bowe and his fight with Tyson was a shame ! Who did he ever fight besides those two ? I can't remember but who or how did he even get the title ?

Seldon is a straight up bum for the way he folded from a punch that never touched him. There was also Leon Spinks, Carnera, Douglas, Briggs, Valuev and some others who's names escape me right now. Seldon, though talented, is probably my least favorite fighter ever because of the Tyson debacle.
