    Wait..Carnera takes it...WWF **** right there
Ruiz wasn't a fun fighter to watch, but he wasn't nearly as bad as a lot of people would like to claim. In fact, his style was effective and he beat a decent caliber of opponents thru out his career. Much better than the coward Seldon, who's biggest win was over a 36 year old Tony Tucker or the face first Joe Hipp.

Carnera, while having little skill, had the heart of a lion.

Carnera took his beating at Louis' hands like a man and my hat's off to him. Truthly I really don't like busting on Carnera because be all accounts he was really a nice guy. He was used by the Mob but wasn't aware they were running the show and that his fights were set-ups. He went on to be a very popular pro wrestler and had a happy ending to his story.

I was a Seldon fan before that. I thought he had all tools needed to be on top (a bit chinny though). After that lay-down against Tyson though I wrote him out of the human race.

He took one of the worst beatings in boxing history at the hands of Max Baer and refused to stay down, until the ref stopped the fight. And he overacheived by winning the title in the first place by ko'ing Jack Sharkey. The "Ambling Alp" was one of the most likeable fighters to have ever laced em up in my opinion.

I never liked Ruiz, but he has to be credited for using the only available tools he had to win, counting the loss to Valuev.

Rahman for me. That lucky shot against Lewis was all he had.

                  valuev belongs in a circus

im sorry but hes just not a natural fighter and the fact he has a belt shows how bad the HW division is

I really don't think Carnera was all that bad although I do think he was one of the worst HW champions.

What I mean is that he wasn't the talentless bum who only won because of fight-fixing that he is said to be. He was outboxing Max Baer pretty badly despite the broken ankle.

Any 6'6, 265 lb man who can throw a decent lead left hook can't be that bad.

It's Bruce Seldon in my opinion. He had talent and from what I've heard was great during sparring but Seldon always looked like he was afraid of being hit when he fought.

Bruce Seldom, knocked clean out by a punch that didn't even land.
