Of course it would be Jones trying to time the constantly circling Leonard. But wouldn't be something visually odd if Roy came out and decided to match him move for move. I don't know if I have ever seen that. One guy usually plants himself while the other moves.

I'm trying to find the savant in U inner idiot but find no such nuggets of genius.

U stoopid.
Let me remind you: One of the first things I stated was that Ray was a decent size for a Middle. He might be at a disadvantage but not compared to someone like Floyd who really had problems with Madanna dealing with size issues.Last edited by billeau2; 08-10-2020, 11:58 PM.

- -Not my problem U have size issues.
Roy naturally bigger to put together a much longer streak of excellence that had even the ol'Timers proclaiming him the best ever until he hung on too long.

You have logically thinking issues. U crazy! No sense whatsoever. Like this post which does not even address any issue much less a good sized middle weight and the relative size advantage.

Learn about Hearns before you talk nonsense...please for the sake of the section which you continually wreck with your nonsense. And please answer the question posed...

You try so very hard to get noticed. You're not here to discuss Boxing, you're here for validation.
Jones is too big for Leonard... who demanded Lalonde, of all people, boil down to 168 to fight him.
Ray's normal advantages level out against Jones.
Anyone who has Boxed has no trouble seeing this.

Size is one factor and is mitigated by Ray not being a small middle weight, anyone who has boxed understands this...
Hearns does not need to resemble Jones... Ditto for Duran. Im waiting for someone to tell me what Jones has over Ray and you aint tellin me... your argument is misguided in its conclusion, though the premise is valid. Yes your correct there is a leveling, you just got it @SS backwards. A for effort.
Think of it this way tootsy: When has Roy faced, superior, or equal, speed, reach, etc? Now its possible that when facing Tarver he was past it... But power caught him, thats a fact. Tarver had power.
Ray Leonard has faced superior power, reach, etc. He is used to making those adjustments. Roy is not tootsy, can I call you tootsy?
Lets put it another way: The Mongol Hordes, the Roman Legions. You get to pick one... Equal capacity per the outfit you picked... they are facing an enemy they have not faced before: Who do you pick Tootsy?
One thing that occurs to me is that the Mongols could not make adjustments against the Japanese...It wasn't in their nature was it? The roman legiones lost a few for sure...but faced many adversarys. That counts for a lot... That is why Hearns and Duran matter. Roy Jones had the weakness of not being able to make adjustments because he did not have to do so.
To assume this makes him better than leonard is a falsehood tootsy. He just happened to face better competition that Roy and had the capacity to adjust .Last edited by billeau2; 08-11-2020, 03:33 PM.
