i think Roy takes it in less than 8 rounds, i just think at middle, Roy was a ****ing beast, too big for Ray and almost as fast or as fast OR MAYBE EVEN faster.
He had to retire and spend a year in private training just to fight creaky Marv.

- -Roy ain't ever fighting a prime Ray.
He avoided many lesser fighters with various dubious excuses.

First of all Leonard had some size at middle weight. he was not like Floyd who really was too small to fight as a good sized middle weight. Ray beat top fighters, like Duran, and hearns...forget about Hagler.
Roy might have a bit of size and strength on Leonard... He didn't have speed on him and if we give Roy power? leonard's chin is up to the task.
Im scratching my head here! Ok ok... im scratching my nutsack, but you get the point fam: How can one just give this to Roy? Roy beat some great fighters, none like Leonard. Roy exploited fighters like Toney, McCallum and Hopkins who did not have his speed. Leonard is stronger in most categories and not slower than Roy. I can see MAYBE an underestimated size advantage for Roy, but Leonard had more weapons, fought in the trenches more, could be as fast as Roy...
What exctly does Roy "DO?" he aint knockin Leonard out, Duran hit as hard and could do more things than Jones... he ain't beatin Leonard to the punch, both men had blinding speed... And No Roy Jones version I know of, is going to muscle Leonard...
I could see the argument for Roy more if Leonard was a small middle weight, he aint.
